Blended learning has become an integral part of nursing education, offering a blend of online and face-to-face instruction that enhances learning experiences, particularly within skills labs. However, the effectiveness of blended learning largely depends on the competencies of nurse educators in utilizing digital tools and methodologies. This study assessed the competencies of nurse educators in Uganda's public nursing schools concerning blended learning adoption. A metabolic illness known as diabetes mellitus (DM) is brought on by the body's decreased secretion and/or activity of the hormone insulin. The condition worsens, pathological alterations in the body, such as nephropathy, retinopathy, and cardiovascular problems, become inevitable. Type I and II DM are the two primary subtypes of DM. The purpose of this qualitative study was to evaluate the effects of curricular changes made to foster graduate students' understanding of how they can be catalysts of change. For more than a decade, the concept of the citizen nurse has been woven into coursework in nursing education, thus indicating an evaluation process was needed.

Method:

Ten oral history interviews were completed with current students or alumni. Data were analyzed for codes, allowing the final themes to emerge.

Increased utilization and prolonged dwell times of indwelling urinary catheters (IUCs) are directly related to the risk of catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs)- the fifth most common type of healthcare associated infection (HAI). The National Health and Safety Network (NHSN) uses the Standardized Utilization Ratio (SUR) metric to measure and compare device utilization in acute care hospitals across the nation. The national target SUR benchmark is 1.0, and a SUR under 1.0 indicates less device usage than NHSN predicts on an inpatient unit. Background: Limited knowledge exists regarding patients' denial of myocardial infarction (MI) before hospitalization for an MI. Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence and correlates of denial of MI in the prehospital phase of a confirmed MI. Methods: This secondary analysis included 166 hospitalized patients (mean [SD] age, 54.1 [10.5] years) who developed MI outside a healthcare facility and had high congruence between their experienced and expected symptoms.
