The current study aims to optimize a fast, reproducible, reliable, and effective technique for estimating the biological activity of Vitamin B2 in injectable dose form using reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC). A biodegradable polymer, PLGA (Poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) 50:50 type, approved as an active ingredient for parenteral administration, was used to load the vitamin in the injection volume of 1mg. This study proposed to analyze chloramphenicol (CPA), sulfamethoxazole (SMX), and sulfanilamide (SNA) drugs by reverse-phase liquid chromatography method in the form of pharmaceutical preparations and synthetic mixture. For this method, column C18-ODS (25 cm x 4.6 mm) was used with an isocratic elution mobile phase composed of methanol and 2% orthophosphoric acid, fluorescent detector (Ex= 310 nm, Em= 440 nm). It was found that the time of retention for CPA, SMX, and SNA was 8.99 ± 0.02, 10.76 ± 0.2, and 8.21 ± 0.2 min, respectively. Review of current research on cannabis use indicates a knowledge gap among caregivers and the need for a tool making it easier to share accurate information with patients. A single-page point-of-care handout, similar to that used to advise the public about cigarette smoking, can help fill that gap. Metadata review of 76 articles was used to build a survey completed by 18 emergency room personnel (physicians, nurses, techs, hands-on administrators) before and after a brief presentation of the handout. OBJECTIVE: To determine sex differences in cholesterol and triglyceride levels among adolescents and young adults hospitalized for medical complications of eating disorders. METHODS: A retrospective electronic medical record review of patients aged 9-25 years admitted to the University of California, San Francisco Eating Disorders Program for medical stabilization, between 2012 and 2020, was conducted. Non-fasting total cholesterol and triglycerides were collected; however, LDL and HDL levels were not available. RESULTS: Among 83 males and 441 females, mean ± SD age was 15.5 ± 2.8 years, 64.1% had anorexia nervosa, and admission percent median body mass index was 87.3 ± 13.9. …
