Orthostatic Hypotension (OH) has been shown to lead to poor quality of life, falls, and death. Literature suggests that falls from OH may be preventable, therefore opportunities to reduce its associated cost to the healthcare system exist. This literature review aims to evaluate the importance of diagnosing and treating OH in older adult patients. OH is the drop in blood pressure upon changing to an upright position. This acute hemodynamic drop in blood pressure causes hypoperfusion in the brain, leading to dizziness, syncope, and falls. ABSTRACT

Burnout among Physician Associates (PAs) is a pervasive occupational hazard with far-reaching consequences for clinician well-being, patient safety, and the sustainability of healthcare systems. This doctoral project examines the multifaceted nature of PA burnout, focusing on its impact on mental and physical health, clinical performance, team dynamics, and workforce retention. A structured literature review of peer-reviewed studies published between 2020 and 2025 revealed consistent associations between burnout and emotional exhaustion, anxiety, depression, and diminished job satisfaction. These symptoms impair decision-making, reduce empathy, and elevate the risk of medical errors—factors that compromise patient outcomes and disrupt collaborative care.

The purpose of this study was to understand the impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and mitigation efforts on health and social outcomes for people with HIV at the individual, social, and structural levels of the Social Ecological Model. The International Nursing Network for HIV collected data for a cross-sectional survey of people with HIV in Botswana, Canada, Colombia, Hong Kong, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Thailand, and the United States from August 2021 through June 2023. Music influences emotion, physiology, and cognition, yet little is known about how the frequency it is tuned to affects these influences. Prior research has shown that music tuned to 432 Hz can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and improve sleep. My colleagues and I conducted two studies to investigate this. Our research found that music tuned to 432 Hz promotes a significant increase in memory retention and induces a state of focus and relaxation. These results suggest that shifting from the standard tuning frequency of 440 Hz to 432 Hz could have a profoundly positive impact on our daily lives. …

Background: Undifferentiated Embryonal Sarcoma of liver (UESL) is a rare malignancy of liver originating from primary mesenchymal tissue with overall poor prognosis. Around 220 pediatric cases of UESL have been reported in the literature. The lack of characteristic clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and imaging studies pose a diagnostic challenge and the preoperative misdiagnosis rate is high. Historically, treatment was limited to surgical resection with poor survival rate. In recent times, combination of chemotherapy and surgical resection has improved survival.

Introduction: Food insecurity affects millions of children in the United States and is increasingly recognized as a significant risk factor for poor nutritional intake and adverse health outcomes. However, less is known about how the experience of food insecurity disrupts healthy development and well-being, particularly among American youth. Patients with schizophrenia spectrum disorders (SSD) have higher risks for early and adult life traumatic events and suffer from a heightened body response to stress and increased inflammatory activities. We hypothesize that in SSD, the effect of stress is associated with prolonged activation of the inflammatory system and causes elevation in immune markers. We examined the effects of childhood trauma and adult stressful life events on a C-reactive protein (CRP) and their combined contribution to cortical thickness thinning in 49 SSD patients and 26 healthy controls. This study investigated the prevalence of work stress and its impact on marital stability among married lecturers at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. A descriptive correlational survey design was employed, and 100 married lecturers were selected through a multistage sampling technique across five faculties. Data were gathered using a researcher-designed instrument titled “Work Stress and Marital Stability Questionnaire (WSMSQ),” which demonstrated strong reliability with a Cronbach Alpha coefficient of 0.81.
