This study aims to develop a metaverse-based Virtual Reality Counseling (VRC) medium to support psychological services for students with special needs. The research method used is the research and development method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results show that the metaverse-based VRC medium has met the media acceptability aspects, making it feasible for effective implementation. CHOICES-TEEN is a bundled intervention aimed at reducing the risks of unintended pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, and alcohol- and tobacco-exposed pregnancies for adolescent girls involved in the juvenile justice system. We examined youths’ (N = 22) elicited pros and cons concerning alcohol, tobacco, condom, and contraception use to inform future iterations of CHOICES-TEEN and other prevention programming during a one-arm pilot study. Content analysis was used to identify recurring themes elicited and recorded during a decisional balance exercise with a counselor. At the intersection of drug policy, the opioid crisis, and fragmented care systems, persons with opioid use disorder (OUD) in the United States are significantly vulnerable to contact with the criminal legal system (CLS). In CLS settings, provision of evidence-based treatment for OUD is variable and often secondary to punitive approaches. Linkage facilitation at every touch point along the CLS Sequential Intercept Model has potential to redirect persons with OUD into recovery-oriented systems of care, increase evidence-based OUD treatment connections, and therefore reduce CLS re-exposure risk. Infertility is a distressing experience for those diagnosed and often exacerbated by engagement with biomedical treatments. This thesis is an exploration of infertility “journeys” posted on YouTube. Through a narrative analysis of 8 YouTube channels, several key themes were identified, specifically embodiment of the infertility label, barriers to treatment, and agency. This work uses the mindful body framework to look at how the individual body, social body, and body politic shape and reinforce these themes in the context of biomedical infertility treatment. In two studies, this dissertation evaluated relations among early childhood education (ECE) teachers’ well-being and embedded social-emotional services. Study 1 focused on occupational stress, burnout, and mental health, exploring the relations among stress and mental health, and the associations with social-emotional services. Study 1 also explored group differences in stress, burnout, mental health, and social-emotional services for teachers who identified as Latinx. Results showed that occupational stress and social emotional services had significant main effects on mental health (burnout, depression, anxiety), with associations varying across mental health measures. Introduction: Recurrent exposures to adverse patient events, including death, affect all members of the care team and can have long-term effects on clinician performance, personal well-being, and patient safety. Recognizing the impact of patient deaths on care teams is essential to mitigating potential risks of increased clinician burnout. X-linked hypophosphatemia (XLH) is caused by mutations in PHEX, leading to rickets and osteomalacia. Adults affected with XLH develop a mineralization of the bone-tendon attachment site (enthesis), called enthesopathy, which causes significant pain and impaired movement. Entheses in mice with XLH (Hyp) have enhanced bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) and Indian hedgehog (IHH) signaling. Treatment of Hyp mice with the BMP signaling blocker palovarotene attenuated BMP/IHH signaling in Hyp entheses, thus indicating that BMP signaling plays a pathogenic role in enthesopathy development and that IHH signaling is activated by BMP signaling in entheses. OBJECTIVE: To identify the needs of caregivers of hospitalised adults with dementia in the hospital and during care transitions.

DESIGN: Pragmatic qualitative inquiry with semi-structured interviews.

Tissues are organized into anatomical and functional units at different scales. New technologies for high-dimensional molecular profiling in situ have enabled the characterization of structure-function relationships in increasing molecular detail. However, it remains a challenge to consistently identify key functional units across experiments, tissues, and disease contexts, a task that demands extensive manual annotation. Here, we present spatial cellular graph partitioning (SCGP), a flexible method for the unsupervised annotation of tissue structures. The authors utilized a correlational research design to examine the role of racial identity development and impostor phenomenon in predicting counselor self-efficacy among counselors-in-training of color. Racial identity development significantly predicts counselor self-efficacy, and imposter phenomenon is correlated with counselor self-efficacy. Based on the findings, the authors provide implications and recommendations for counselor educators and supervisors.
