Background: Anatomic labral repair is paramount when restoring the hip suction sealing mechanism in femoroacetabular impingement syndrome (FAIS) surgery. All-suture knotless tensionable anchors have been recently proposed as an alternative; however, data are scarce.

OBJECTIVE: This study aims to systematically assess physical exercise-related symptoms of post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC or long COVID) in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) survivors.

METHODS: Eight databases were systematically searched on March 03, 2024. Original studies that compared physical exercise-related parameters measured by exercise testing between COVID-19 survivors who recovered from SARS-CoV-2 infection over 3 months and non-COVID-19 controls were included. Despite previously documented anatomic limitations to its direct distal extension, alternative exposure methods have been described to safely access the femoral diaphysis and facilitate increasingly complex primary and revision THA scenarios. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to explore correlations between spasticity and motor impairments in the upper and lower limbs in ambulatory chronic stroke survivors.

DESIGN: We performed clinical assessments in 28 ambulatory chronic stroke survivors with spastic hemiplegia (female: 12; male: 16; mean ages = 57.8 ± 11.8 yrs; 76 ± 45 mos after stroke).

Transcriptional determinants in the skeletal muscle that govern exercise capacity, while poorly defined, could provide molecular insights into how exercise improves fitness. Here, we have elucidated the role of nuclear receptors, estrogen-related receptor alpha and gamma (ERRα/γ) in regulating myofibrillar composition, contractility, and exercise capacity in skeletal muscle. We used muscle-specific single or double (DKO) ERRα/γ knockout mice to investigate the effect of ERRα/γ deletion on muscle and exercise parameters. PURPOSE: To examine Medicare reimbursement for hip arthroscopy from 2011 to 2022.

METHODS: The seven most common procedures performed with hip arthroscopy by a single surgeon were gathered. The Physician Fee Schedule Look-Up Tool was utilized to access financial data of the associated Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes. The reimbursement data for each CPT were gathered from the Physician Fee Schedule Look-Up Tool. With the consumer price index database and inflation calculator, reimbursement values were adjusted for inflation to 2022 U.S. dollars.

Background: Increased posterior tibial slope is a strong predictor of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) graft re-injury. A concomitant slope-reducing high tibial osteotomy (HTO) has been suggested to decrease re-tear risk in these cases although little is known regarding outcomes following ACL reconstruction with HTO, especially in elite athletic patients.

Indications: A 19-year-old National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Division 1 running back presented with an ACL tear, lateral meniscus tear, and posterior tibial slope of 19° (case 1).
