Statement of Purpose: Gunshot wounds to the foot pose a unique surgical dilemma—whether to pursue aggressive foreign body removal or to preserve soft tissue integrity. This case highlights the management of a birdshot injury to the rearfoot where selective non-removal of pellets near the neurovascular bundle led to complete healing and full functional recovery. The purpose is to emphasize tissue preservation over aggressive exploration in complex ballistic foot injuries.

Purpose: Distal metatarsal osteotomies, like the chevron procedure, were once preferred for their stability and faster recovery in hallux valgus correction. Purpose: A combination of talar neck and body fractures are extremely rare which make up approximately <1% of all fractures in the body. They are most commonly associated with high energy trauma such as falling from a great height, motor vehicle accident, etc. Talar fractures are challenging problems to treat in terms of fixation, rates of avascular necrosis and much more. The purpose of this case report is to demonstrate that even with a severe talar fracture salvage is possible with proper surgical technique and understanding of the unique fracture pattern.
Case study: One patient underwent ORIF of a comminuted talar neck and body fracture with a lateral bridge plate and medial based interfragmentary compression screw.
Procedures: Open reduction internal fixation of talar neck and body fracture.
Results: 1 patient who demonstrated clinical and radiographic signs of healing of a talar neck and body fracture.

Plantar plate injuries have gained recognition as a common cause of forefoot pain and instability. This review aims to comprehensively analyze the present landscape of treatment options available for addressing plantar plate injuries.
A comprehensive literature review was completed by the authors using Google Scholar, Pubmed, Cochrane Review, and Science Direct using a combination of phrases related to the title of this article that discussed various treatment modalities for plantar plate injuries. Aims: To assess and evaluate the relationship between flexor tenotomies in a clinical setting and the time course for healing neuropathic, diabetic and structural deformity hallux ulcers.
Methods: This retrospective study analyzes the medical files of 1,471 patients treated for digital foot ulcers by flexor tenotomies between September 2011 and January 2019. For the intent of this particular research, focus was preserved towards the effect of flexor tenotomy on healing time to address hallux ulcers.
