They differ from their adult counterparts, showing extensive clinical and molecular heterogeneity as well as a challenging histopathological spectrum that often impairs accurate diagnosis. Here, we use DNA methylation-based CNS tumor classification in combination with copy number, RNA-seq, and ChIP-seq analysis to characterize a newly identified CNS tumor type. Purpose: Esophageal cancer (EC) is the most common cancer among males in Afghanistan, thus we aimed to conduct a case-control study to determine the associated risk factors with EC in two tertiary care hospitals of Kabul, Afghanistan.
Patients and methods: We enrolled 132 EC cases and 132 controls and used conditional logistic regression to estimate the odds ratio (OR) with consideration of 95% confidence interval (CI).

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a devastating disease with dismal prognosis. The only curative option for patients is surgery, but over 80% of patients are not surgical candidates. Unfortunately, PDAC is resistant to the three remaining options. PDAC is characterized by a profoundly hypoxic and immunosuppressive stroma, which contributes to its therapeutic recalcitrance. Muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) represents approximately 25% of all bladder cancer and carries a significant risk of mortality. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) and radical cystectomy (RC) is the standard of care for MIBC. One complication associated with RC is ureteral anastomotic leak with a predicted rate of 3%. The objective of this National Surgical Quality Improvement Project (NSQIP) database analysis is to determine if correlations exist between radiation (RAD) and/or NAC before RC and anastomotic leak in the treatment of MIBC.

Bladder cancer represents the 6th most common for men and is classified into muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) and non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). NMIBC (T1, Ta, Tis), accounting for approximately 75% of new bladder cancer diagnoses, is limited to the mucosa, submucosa, and lamina propria. According to the National Cancer Institute, African American (AA) men have a significantly increased incidence of prostate cancer compared to Caucasians or Asians. Liposarcoma (LS), a malignant tumor of adipose origin, is the most common soft tissue sarcoma (STS), and can develop within any soft tissue. It rarely occurs in the paratesticular region, and accounts for 3-7% of spermatic cord tumors. Dedifferentiated liposarcoma (DDLS) and well-differentiated liposarcoma (WDLS) account for two of the five subtypes of LS, with dedifferentiation occurring in 20% of cases. There have been 66 cases of DDLS of the spermatic cord reported to date, but none present with a 22/22q trisomy without the fusion or rearrangement that commonly produces these aggressive tumors.

Lenalidomide mechanism of action has been shown to modulate the different components of the immune system. A 68-year-old lady presented to us with severe backache and was then diagnosed with MM. Lenalidomide started as per protocol along with dexamethasone. Later, she presented with complaints of generalized weakness and her workup showed significant blast cells with Pan-B-cell markers consistent with secondary B-ALL. The reported incidence of secondary Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia is 2.3%. The development of more aggressive neoplasm in a patient with prior malignancy dictates a poor outcome and hence such patients should be enrolled in a clinical trial whenever available

Adenoid cystic carcinoma, also known as cylindroma, is one of the rare and unexplored clinical presentations of lung cancer, for which existing knowledge is scarce. This case report discusses a presentation of this tumor in the right lung, which subsequently extended to the left atrium through the right superior pulmonary vein.
