Infections after renal transplant are a common cause of morbidity and are commonly due to Cytomegalovirus (CMV), Cryptococcus, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and Aspergillus. Concurrent infections with both cryptococcal and tuberculous aetiologies are rare within the central nervous system (CNS). We present a case of a 67-year-old male patient who presented with three weeks of headaches, confusion, unsteady gait, and seizures. He had type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension. He had a kidney transplant three years prior and was on three immunosuppressive agents. He was HIV-negative. Objectives:

To evaluate the benefits of vaccination on the case fatality rate (CFR) for COVID-19 infections.

Design, setting, and participants:

The United States Department of Veterans Affairs has one hundred and thirty medical centers. We created multivariate models from these data -339,772 patients with coronaviral disease (COVID-19)-as of September 30, 2021.

Outcome measures:

The primary outcome for all models was death within 60 days of the diagnosis. Logistic regression derived adjusted odds ratios (OR) for vaccination and infection with delta versus earlier variants.
