Introduction: Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) is a major cause of morbidity, mortality and health expenditures worldwide. Despite having higher ASCVD in the Pakistani population, data on subclinical coronary atherosclerosis in young Pakistanis remain scarce. The PAKistan Study of prEmature coronary atHerosclerosis in young AdulTs (PAK-SEHAT) aims to assess the prevalence, severity and determinants of subclinical coronary atherosclerosis among Pakistani men (35-60 years) and women (35-65 years) free of clinically symptomatic ASCVD and will assess 5-year rates of ASCVD events.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to assess the prognostic significance of rSS after PCI for NSTEMI in terms of all-cause mortality and MACE (Major adverse cardiac event) at 3 years of follow-up.

Background: The exact prevalence of left ventricle non-compaction cardiomyopathy (LVNC) in south Asians is not known and phenotypic CMR characteristics, clinical features, and outcomes of LVNC remain unknown for the SA population.
Objective: To evaluate clinical characteristics, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging features, and outcomes of patients with left ventricle non-compaction.
Methods: This was a retrospective study of 294 patients undergoing cardiac MRI (CMR) for evaluation of cardiomyopathy from 2011 to 2020. In cases of pulmonary embolism, the visualization of a free-floating right heart thrombus on conventional transthoracic echocardiography is extremely rare. Even rarer is an echocardiographic recording of migration of a free-floating clot from the right heart into the pulmonary vasculature leading to pulmonary embolism. We present a unique case of an elderly man who presented with dyspnoea, in whom a routine 2-D bed side transthoracic echo recorded the live transit of a free floating thrombus from the right heart into the pulmonary artery resulting in pulmonary embolism.
