A 25-year-old male presented with a complaint of acute visual loss in his right eye for two days. There was a history of visual loss in the left eye six months ago. Comprehensive eye examination showed evidence of posterior uveitis, and a placoid lesion on the right fundus. Further physical examination showed maculopapular rashes on the upper back which was highly suggestive of syphilis. Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted at the Sindh Institute of Reproductive Medicine in collaboration with Aga Khan University, Karachi, from July, 2017, to February, 2018, and comprised infertile males with abnormal sperm parameters who were placed in Group A and fertile males with normal sperm parameters placed in Group B. BACKGROUND: Checkpoint inhibitors can induce profound anticancer responses, but programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) inhibition monotherapy has shown minimal activity in prostate cancer. A published report showed that men with prostate cancer who were resistant to the second-generation androgen receptor inhibitor enzalutamide had increased programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression on circulating antigen-presenting cells. Due to multiple beamlets in delivery of highly modulated VMAT plans, there are dose delivery uncertainties associated with small-field dosimetry error and interplay effects with small lesions. PURPOSE: To report the medium to long-term safety and performance outcomes of the KeraKlear nonpenetrating artificial cornea (KeraKlear) as the primary procedure in patients with corneal blindness due to noninflammatory anterior cornea disease.

METHODS: Fifteen patients with corneal blindness (preoperative visual acuity [VA] of ≥20/200) due to a non-inflammatory anterior corneal condition were included in this prospective, single-center study. Preoperative diagnoses included corneal scars, keratoconus, and corneal dystrophies. Central venous stenosis is a rare cause of neurologic pathology. Here we present a case of brachiocephalic vein stenosis causing cervical myelopathy through venous engorgement. Our patient was a 51-y/o male who presented with ambulatory dysfunction so he was evaluated for cervical myelopathy. Imaging revealed cord compression from venous engorgement and brachiocephalic vein stenosis. He was treated with angioplasty and vessel stenting which significantly improved flow on postintervention imaging. In conclusion, preoperative vascular imaging should be considered in myelopathic patients as it can detect this rare but dangerous etiology.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the most common autoimmune disorder affecting the central nervous system. Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a causative agent for infectious mononucleosis (IM) that is associated with MS pathogenesis. However, the exact mechanism by which EBV, specifically in IM, increases the risk for MS remains unknown. EBV immortalizes primary B lymphocytes in vitro and causes excessive B lymphocyte proliferation in IM in vivo. In asymptomatic carriers, EBV-infected B lymphocytes still proliferate to certain degrees, the process of which is tightly controlled by the host immune systems. Introduction: Hypofractionated treatment delivery regimens are associated with better overall long-term disease control for prostate cancer. For patients with high-risk disease, there may be an indication for treatment of the surrounding pelvic lymph nodes for better over-all disease control. In order to achieve a hypofractionated regimen with treatment to the surrounding pelvic lymph nodes a simultaneous integrated boost technique is employed. There are concerns regarding achievability of target dose coverage and limitation of dose to the surrounding organs at risk with this fractionation.
