Headache is the commonest symptom seen in both primary and secondary care. Vast majority are primary i.e. for which no underlying cause has been detected. Tension Headaches, Migraine and Cluster Headaches are the most common primary headache disorders in the population. Although most of the primary headache disorders can be satisfactorily treated with both acute and preventive medications, those that are refractory to conventional treatment pose a great challenge to the headache physician. To find out the average length of stay, the rate of I/V catheter cellulites, the rate of bed sores among patients in stroke centre and determine the mortality rates. Methodology: This is a descriptive study, carried out at a tertiary care hospital over the period of six months. Data was analyzed by SPSS version 15.0. Result: Total numbers of patients were 36 from January 1 to June 30, 2007 at Stroke Center Liaquat National Hospital. The mean length of stay was 8.17 ±5.81 days. This observational study was conducted in the Department of Neurosurgery Lady Reading HospitalPeshawar from July 2010 to June 2012 (2 years).There were 38 patients with dorsal spine tuberculosis who underwent anterior decompression and fusion using anterior spinal instrumentation and allograft replacement. We included those patients in our study, who undergone anterior decompression with internal fixation for dorsal spine tuberculosis, of both genders irrespective of their age. Unilateral cerebellar hypoplasia is a relatively rare malformation. We report a case of 54 year old female patient who presented with single episode of sudden unconsciousness and slurring of speech. Imaging finding suggests the diagnosis of unilateral cerebellar hypoplasia. The patient recovered with conservative management probably because the symptoms were due to Transient ischemic attack not due to hypoplasia.

Tacrolimus is a novel immunosuppressant used to prevent graft rejection after allogenic organ transplantation. Serious neurological complications of tacrolimus are rare. We present a lady who developed confusion, paresthesiae and visual hallucinations while on tacrolimus following a renal transplant.Her tacrolimus level was high and she improved on stopping the drug. This case highlights the reversible encephalopathy induced by tacrolimus.

Endoscopic-assisted craniosynostosis surgery is associated with less blood loss and shorter operative times as compared to open surgery. However, in infants who have low circulating blood volumes, the endoscopic approach is still associated with significant blood loss. A major source of blood loss is the bone that is cut during surgery. We discuss the novel use of an ultrasonic bone-cutting device for craniosynostosis surgery, which decreases bone bleeding. This device, which has primarily only been used for spine and skull base surgery, may help reduce blood loss in these infants.
