We examined the association between nondietary CVH metrics and patient-reported outcomes among a nationally representative sample of US adults without cardiovascular disease.

Background: The BRANCH Consortium recently conducted 10 mixed-methods case studies to investigate the provision of health and nutrition interventions for women and children in conflict-affected countries, aiming to better understand the dominant influences on humanitarian health actors' programmatic decision-making and how such actors surmount intervention delivery barriers. In this paper, the research challenges encountered and the mitigating strategies employed by the case study investigators in four of the BRANCH case study contexts are discussed: Somalia, Mali, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Early rectal cancer management includes tumour stages TiS, T1 and some selected T2 lesions that undergo appropriate clinical pre-operatie evaluation. Local excision of these lesions with acceptable recurrence rate can be achieved through various transanal endoscopic techniques like transanal endoscopic microsurgery (TEM) and transanal minimal invasive surgery (TAMIS) that are superior to simple transanal excision (TAE). The current literature review was planned to present the oncological evaluation of local excision in the context of available evidence. An overview of perioperative adjuvant therapies employed along with local excision is presented, with an update on the latest trials.

The aim of the present investigation was to assess performance and clinical utility of a comprehensive DNA panel for myeloid neoplasms. HLH carries a very high mortality, and while delays in patients’ presentation to hospital, time to suspicion of HLH, investigation, and initiation of therapy all play a part, mortality remains high even with timely diagnosis and treatment. Background: Delayed health-seeking continues to contribute to preventable maternal and neonatal deaths in low resource countries.
