An Exposition On Prostate Cancer Dynamics: A History And Exploration Of Cancer Growth Models, Walter Navarro

The detection, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer are the primary objectives of the field of mathematical oncology. Our goal is to examine the history of mathematical oncology by introducing the models that have influenced it. From this vantage point, we examine five primary models that focus on the progression of prostate cancer and the development of treatment protocols at different stages. The Ideta model will be further elaborated upon by examining the effects of androgen deprivation therapy and the addition of chemotherapy on growth dynamics.
