Limited English Proficiency (LEP) is a barrier among Hispanic communities in accessing digital health tools including patient portals.¹

Patient portals provide patients with access to their electronic medical records. With portals, patients can schedule visits, message providers, check test results, and order medication refills, among other tasks.

Portal use has been shown to help patients better manage chronic diseases, enhance doctor-patient relationships, improve patient understanding and awareness of health status, and increase adherence to therapy.²

Peramalan jumlah pasien di rumah sakit merupakan aspek kritis dalam perencanaan rumah sakit kesehatan yang efektif, terutama untuk memastikan ketersediaan sumber daya medis dan layanan yang memadai. Penelitian ini membandingkan tiga metode exponential smoothing (single, double, dan triple exponential smoothing) dalam meramalkan jumlah pasien dengan menggunakan data jumlah pasien dari tahun 2020 – 2023 dan akan diramalkan untuk 5 periode kedepan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa metode triple exponential smoothing memiliki nilai Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) terkecil, yaitu 14%. Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of death for men in the U.S. and Black men are twice as likely to die from the disease. However, prostate cancer, if diagnosed at an earlier stage, is curable. Objective: Implement the 5-type health information technology (HIT) patient safety concern classification system for HIT patient safety issues reported to the Veterans Health Administration's Informatics Patient Safety Office.

Materials and methods: A team of informatics safety analysts retrospectively classified 1 year of HIT patient safety issues by type of HIT patient safety concern using consensus discussions. The processes established during retrospective classification were then applied to incoming HIT safety issues moving forward.

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between perceived emotional intelligence and the reported use of cognitive reappraisal and expressive suppression. We also investigated the possible effects of age on the aforementioned variables. The total sample consisted of 379 people (158 men, 220 women, 1 unreported). Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccinations are lower than expected. To protect the onset of head and neck cancers, innovative strategies to improve the rates are needed. Artificial intelligence may offer some solutions, specifically conversational agents to perform counseling methods. We present our efforts in developing a dialogue model for automating motivational interviewing (MI) to encourage HPV vaccination. We developed a formalized dialogue model for MI using an existing ontology-based framework to manifest a computable representation using OWL2. Previous research has connected phone use with mood and depressive symptoms but has typically relied on self-report measures of phone use. The current study examined the potential connection between objectively tracked phone use and self-reported depressive symptoms among 42 U.S. mothers with a young child (M age = 2.34 years). Their phone use was measured continuously for 5 days via an app installed on their smartphones, and mothers also completed a nightly survey each day.
