Cutaneous horn (CH) is an outgrowth from the skin surface, composed of keratin, and associated with benign to malignant skin lesions. We report a case of CH in a 15-year-old female associated with Keratoacanthoma. It is uncommon in young people and is associated with a good prognosis because of its benign nature. This case needs to be reported as it highlights the rare occurrence of this condition in the younger age group and its good prognosis. Background: Cases of thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS) have been reported following vaccination with AZD1222 or Ad26.COV2.S. This review aimed to explore the pathophysiology, epidemiology, diagnosis, management, and prognosis of TTS.
Methods: A systematic review was conducted to identify evidence on TTS till 4th September 2021. Case reports and series reporting patient-level data were included. Descriptive statistics were reported and compared across patients with different sexes, age groups, vaccines, types of thrombosis, and outcomes.

Intracranial mesenchymal tumor, FET-CREB fusion-positive' occurs primarily in children and young adults and has previously been termed intracranial angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma (AFH) or intracranial myxoid mesenchymal tumor (IMMT). Here we performed genome-wide DNA methylation array profiling of 20 primary intracranial mesenchymal tumors with FET-CREB fusion to further study their ontology. Pain Characteristics Among Patients With Knee Osteoarthritis In Aden, Yemen, Abdulsalam Abdullah Hadi Mohsen

Knee osteoarthritis in adults is very common and is one of the most common causes of joint pain. The aim of the study was to describe the demographic characteristics and to analyze the clinical finding. It was a retrospective study conducted in Aden during the years 2015 to 2017. Data was obtained from patients’ charts and presented as frequencies, percentages, means and standard deviation. Significance was considered at P value < 0.05. The patients were 367, (males 44.4% and females 55.6%). The older patients (≥ 55 years) were (77.1%). About (39.5%) patients were mostly suffered from right knee osteoarthritis, (25.1%) suffered from left knee and (35.4%) patients have both knee osteoarthritis. Knee pain was mild in (61%) patients and in (30%) patients was moderate. The female to male ratio was 1.3:1 and their mean age was 61.0 ± 9.5 years (age ranged between 35 and 83 years). There was a significant correlation between mean ages of both genders (p = 0.001). The mean uric acid was 6.9 ± 1.6 mg/dL and the relationship between means in both genders was significant (p = 0.000). Patients were higher in the age group ≥ 55 years. Most of the right knee osteoarthritis were in females (28.6%), while bilateral osteoarthritis were predominant in males (22.1%) (P = 0.000). The relationship between the severity of knee pain and side involvement of the knee joint was highly statically significant (P = 0.000). Further prospective studies are needed.

Anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL), an aggressive CD30-positive T-cell lymphoma, comprises systemic anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK)-positive, and ALK-negative, primary cutaneous and breast implant-associated ALCL. Prognosis of some ALCL subgroups is still unsatisfactory, and already in second line effective treatment options are lacking. To identify genes defining ALCL cell state and dependencies, we here characterize super-enhancer regions by genome-wide H3K27ac ChIP-seq. The aim of this study is to ascertain if the living environment (type of residential neighborhood and number of household members) will elucidate differences in obesity risk reduction behaviors and self-efficacy in Chinese Americans. A cross-sectional survey design was used to recruit participants from Los Angeles County and New York City metropolitan areas. A total of 650 adults were recruited from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Introduction

Hemangiomas are benign vascular tumors that are common during infancy. They are most commonly noted as superficial bright red lesions on the skin but can also be found deeper as subcutaneous lesions. Patients with multifocal cutaneous hemangiomas are at risk of visceral involvement with the liver being most commonly affected. Most hemangiomas can be monitored clinically as they are self-limiting. Despite this, hepatic hemangiomas can have serious complications including large arteriovenous shunts leading to cardiac compromise as well as severe hepatomegaly which can cause abdominal compartment syndrome, impaired ventilation and renal vein compression.

Whole genome sequences from our laboratory and available genomes were used to investigate phylogeny, genetic variantion and mutation rates of SARS-CoV-2 strains in Pakistan. Microangiopathic haemolytic anaemia (MAHA) describes non-immune haemolysis by intravascular fragmentation of red blood cells, resulting from microvascular thrombosis characteristic of thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA). TMA-associated MAHAs include several diseases but are mostly associated with thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) and haemolytic-uremic syndrome (HUS). TTP is caused by a severe deficiency in ADAMTS13 proteinase, responsible for regulating coagulation, either due to presence of anti-ADAMTS13 (acquired iTTP; immune-mediated) or mutations in ADAMTS13 itself (congenital cTTP).
