Fibrosis is of significant concern to the medical community as numerous disease processes are characterized by progressive fibrosis leading to organ damage. We begin the process of examining the mechanism of fibrosis to salivary gland hypofunction and briefly consider Sjögren’s Disease (SjD). Method: We employed single-cell RNA sequencing data from a reversible mouse salivary gland injury model and from NOD/ShiLtJ mice, a model of secondary SjD. We performed treatment comparisons with the help of Seurat dotplots and UMAPS. Aim: The primary objective is to retrospectively compare the mean root coverage (MRC) achieved using a coronally advanced flap and sub-epithelial connective tissue graft (CAF + CTG) with that achieved using the tunnelling technique and sub-epithelial connective tissue graft (TUN + CTG) for the treatment of multiple recession defects. Objectives: The primary goal of this retrospective analysis is to analyze the morphologic changes that occur following extraction in regards to sinus pneumatization.

Methods: The patient population was selected from the VCU School of Dentistry Graduate Periodontics Department. Cone Beam Computed Tomography scans (CBCT) was obtained from patients that had a posterior tooth extracted. A horizontal tangent line was drawn to the inferior border of the nasal cavity, acting as a constant reference point for measuring the extent of maxillary sinus pneumatization.
