0.1% Cannabidiol (CBD) was reported to be suitable as an alternative management for Recurrent Aphthous Ulcers (RAU) due to its analgesics and anti-inflammatory effects. This study aimed to examine 0.3 % CBD when compared to 0.1% CBD, 0.1% Triamcinolone Acetonide (TA) oral paste and pure oral paste in the treatment of RAU. For safety investigations, 100 healthy subjects were examined for allergic reaction to 0.3% CBD oral paste compared to pure oral paste, then 50 healthy subjects were evaluated for local and systemic effects of 0.3% CBD oral paste in which blood tests were performed before drug application and seven …

การศึกษานี้พัฒนาระบบไฮโดรเจลอัลจิเนตที่ถูกออกซิไดซ์ เพื่อส่งผ่านปัจจัยกระตุ้นการเจริญของเซลล์ประสาททั้งแบบต่อเนื่องและทางอ้อม เพื่อส่งเสริมการเปลี่ยนแปลงไปเป็นเซลล์ประสาทของสเต็มเซลล์ที่ได้จากจากเนื้อเยื่อในฟันของมนุษย์ โดยได้ทำการวิเคราะห์ลักษณะของไฮโดรเจลในด้านระดับการออกซิไดซ์ การดูดซับน้ำ การย่อยสลาย และการปลดปล่อยโปรตีน ผลแสดงให้เห็นถึงการปลดปล่อยโปรตีนต้นแบบและ ปัจจัยกระตุ้นการเจริญของเซลล์ประสาทได้ตามช่วงเวลา ในการเพาะเลี้ยงเซลล์แบบ สองมิติ การร่วมเลี้ยงแบบทางอ้อมกับไฮโดรเจลที่พัฒนา พบว่าการแสดงออกของยีนและโปรตีนของตัวบ่งชี้เซลล์ประสาท (เนสติน, ดีซีเอกซ์และ เบต้าทรี ทุบูลิน) เพิ่มขึ้นอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ ความมีชีวิตของเซลล์ยังคงสูงตลอดการทดลอง แสดงถึงความเข้ากันได้ทางชีวภาพของไฮโดรเจลนี้ สำหรับการเปลี่ยนแปลงเป็นเซลล์ประสาทในระบบ สามมิติ ได้มีการสร้างสเฟียร์รอยด์ที่มีชีวิตและมีโครงสร้างแน่นหนาสำเร็จด้วยเทคนิค การปรินต์สามมิติด้วยแม่เหล็กผลการทดลองพบว่าสเฟียร์รอยด์ที่ใช้จำนวน10,000 เซลล์จะมีรูปร่างและความมีชีวิตที่เหมาะสมที่สุด นอกจากนี้ผลการทดลองปัจจุบันแสดงให้เห็นว่ามีศักยภาพของไฮโดรเจลในฐานะเป็นแพลตฟอร์มในการส่งผ่านโปรตีนเพื่อกระตุ้นการพัฬนาไปเป็นเซลล์ประสาทโดย ไม่ต้องใช้โครงร่างและสนับสนุนการประยุกต์ใช้งานในอนาคตกับงานวิจัยสเต็มเซลล์ระดับสามมิติและในระดับคลินิกในเชิงเวชศาสตร์ฟื้นฟูในสาขาทันตกรรมเอนโดดอนต์

Objective: This study aimed to comparatively evaluate the effects of polyherbal, chlorhexidine (CHX), and normal saline (NCC) mouthwashes on oral microbiome composition, microbial metabolic pathways, and patient-reported outcomes, exploring polyherbal alternatives in response to CHX-associated dysbiosis. Methods: A randomized, double-blind trial was conducted among 27 gingivitis patients, randomly assigned to polyherbal, CHX, or NCC mouthwash groups. Participants used the mouthwash twice daily for 7 days. Saliva samples were analyzed via 16S rRNA sequencing. Microbial diversity (alpha and beta diversity) and composition were statistically evaluated. Objectives: To investigate the response of primary human gingival fibroblasts (HGFs) to self-adhesive resin cement (SARC) extracts. Methods: Two types of SARCs, RelyXTM U200 (RX) and Maxcem EliteTM Chroma (MC), were polymerized using various curing methods (light-cured, light-cured through 1- or 2-mm zirconia, and self-cured) (n=9/group). HGFs were exposed to cement extracts at different concentrations. Treated HGFs were assessed for cell viability, vitality, wound healing, and gene expression at different time points. Improperly polymerized self-adhesive resin cements (SARCs) can lead to adverse effects such as periodontitis or peri-implantitis. This in vitro study investigated the effect of 2 light-polymerizing units (LPUs) on the physical and chemical properties of 2 SARCs under varying simulated clinical scenarios and the responses of primary human gingival fibroblasts (hGFs) exposed to such procedures. Background: Mechanical force, caused by orthodontic tooth movement, affects periodontal tissue homeostasis including destruction and formation. For instance, the compression side causes bone resorption while bone formation lines in the tension side. Periodontal ligament cells play roles in modulating periodontal tissue homeostasis as well as regeneration via immunomodulation, proliferation, and migration. Background and Objective: Simvastatin, known for lipid-lowering, shows promise in modulating stem cell behavior. This research investigates simvastatin's impact on apical papilla stem cells (SCAPs) in vitro. Methods: SCAPs were isolated, characterized, and exposed to varying simvastatin doses. Viability and proliferation were assessed with LIVE/DEAD and MTT assays. Cell cycle and apoptosis were examined via flow cytometry, and migration capacity was evaluated through scratch tests. The periodontal ligament (PDL) is a crucial tissue connecting teeth to surrounding alveolar bone, withstanding the mechanical forces of mastication, speech, and deglutition. The extracellular matrix (ECM) of the PDL plays a critical role in maintaining PDL cell stability and function in response to external forces. Objective: Indirect Jagged1 immobilization efficiently activates canonical Notch signaling in hDPSCs. This study aimed to investigate the characteristic of the Jagged1-treated hDPSCs-derived dECM and its biological activity on odonto/osteogenic differentiation SCAPs. Methods: Bioinformatic database of Jagged1-treated hDPSCs was analyzed by NetworkAnalyst. hDPSCs seeded on Jagged1 immobilized surface were maintained with N or OM followed by decellularization procedure, dECM-N or dECM-OM, respectively. Cleidocranial dysplasia (CCD) is a skeletal disorder affecting the skull, teeth, and clavicles, and is associated with the RUNX2 variants. We identified the five variants from five families, three were novel, comprising c.739delA (p.(Ser247Valfs*)), c.901C>T (p.(Gln301*)), and c.1081C>T (p.(Gln361*)) and two were reported, comprising c.673C>T (p.Arg225Trp) and c.674G>A (p.Arg225Gln). All patients exhibited typical CCD features, but we observed the unreported phenotypes, left forth-ray brachymetatarsia. This study synthesized a chitosan-based scaffold incorporated with trichostatin A (TSA), an epigenetic modifier molecule, using a freeze-drying technique to achieve promising bone regeneration potential. The scaffolds with various biphasic calcium phosphate (BCP) proportions: 0%, 10%, 20%, and 40% were characterized. The addition of BCP improved the scaffolds' mechanical properties and delayed the degradation rate. From all physicochemical parameters, 20% BCP scaffold matched the appropriate bone scaffold requirements and was selected for further development. The proper concentration of TSA was also tested. Osteoblast differentiation requires interaction of several cell signaling to coordinately modulate cell responses. Understanding the integration between signaling pathways provides an insight into molecular mechanism that governs stem cell differentiation. Notch, Wnt, and Interleukin15 (IL15) signaling are among the crucial pathways that control biological processes including osteogenic differentiation. Therefore, this dissertation was focused on modulating these signaling pathways in human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs). Objectives: This study aimed to i) determine the kinetic changes of immune cell phenotypes, including an exhaustion marker PD-1, in spleens of murine sepsis ii) investigate the susceptibility against secondary fungal infection after sepsis, and iii) investigate the efficacy of an anti-PD-1 treatment in post-sepsis fungal infection.
