Time And Dose Dependent Effects Of Adipose-Derived Stromal Vascular Fraction Exosomes On Human Dental Pulp Stem Cell Proliferation, Sylva Dinie Alinda, Anggraini Margono, Indah Julianto, Dini Asrianti Bagio
Journal of Dentistry Indonesia
Background: Cell proliferation is essential for tissue repair and immunomodulation in regenerative dentistry. Adipose-derived stromal vascular fraction (AD-SVF) is a promising autologous source for tissue engineering. Its exosomes (AD-SVF Exo), as cell-free products stable under ischemic conditions, represent an ethical and attractive modality for dental tissue regeneration and broader regenerative applications. Prior study indicates that AD-SVF Exo can enhance human dental pulp stem cell (hDPSC) migration and proliferation, particularly at low concentrations, but their detailed time- and dose-dependent proliferative effects remain unclear. This study aimed to investigate the time- and dose-dependent effects of low-concentration AD-SVF Exo on hDPSC proliferation …

Dental pulp stem cell therapy offers a promising alternative to traditional root canals by enabling pulp regeneration, preserving tooth vitality, and promoting healing, though further research and ethical considerations are needed before widespread clinical adoption.

Antimicrobial Efficacy Of Different Intracanal Medicaments Used In Regenerative Endodontics Against A Mature Multi-Species Biofilm Model (An Ex-Vivo Study), Shehabeldin Mohamed Saber Prof.Dr.
Dentistry
Introduction: The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy of different antimicrobial agents, including Ciprofloxacin, Doxycycline, Clindamycin, Metronidazole, Amoxicillin and Clavulanate, Triple antibiotic paste (TAP) and Calcium hydroxide (CH), as intra-canal medications for regenerative endodontics against an aged, multispecies ex-vivo biofilm model.
Methods: A total of one hundred fifty single-rooted human teeth were used in this study. Fifteen teeth were used to monitor the formation and maturation of a multispecies biofilm model consisting of Enterococcus faecalis, Staphylococcus epidermidis and Candida albicans. After 21 days of incubation, the other one-hundred and thirty-five teeth were divided into 9 equal …

Background: Regenerative endodontic treatment aims to relieve symptoms and maintain root development and regeneration of pulp tissue. This study aimed to retrospectively examine and compare the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in the regenerative endodontic treatment (RET) of immature necrotic teeth in terms of clinical and radiographic treatment results.
Materials and Methods: This study included patients who underwent Regenerative Endodontic Treatment (RET) at Selcuk University Faculty of Dentistry between 2014 and 2019, totalling 38 cases. After apical bleeding is induced into the canal, PRP was utilized in 16 cases, while PRF was employed in …
Assessment Of The Clinical Outcomes Of Single Visit Regenerative Endodontic Procedure In Treating Necrotic Mature Teeth With Apical Periodontitis Using Biological Irrigating Solution, Mohamed Medhat Kataia
Assessment Of The Clinical Outcomes Of Single Visit Regenerative Endodontic Procedure In Treating Necrotic Mature Teeth With Apical Periodontitis Using Biological Irrigating Solution, Mohamed Medhat Kataia
Dentistry
Aim: to observe the effect of propolis and its nano counterpart when used as final irrigation materials and compare them to the conventionally used EDTA and saline on the clinical outcomes of necrotic mature anterior teeth with apical periodontitis after treating them using regenerative endodontic procedure.
Methodology: 84 patients who fulfilled the inclusion criteria were recruited for the study. Access cavity was prepared, rubber dam isolation was done. Mechanical preparation was performed up to #60 using K-files. Final irrigation procedure was done as follows:
Group A (Control ): Final irrigation was done using saline (3ml/min) followed by 17% …

Eliminating microorganisms in the root canal system is important for the success of regenerative endodontics. Objective: This study evaluated the effects of different antibiotic pastes used for regenerative endodontic procedures on dentin microhardness and the push-out bond strength of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) to root canal dentin. Methods: Sixty-four maxillary central incisors were instrumented and randomly divided into the following four groups (n = 16) for medicament treatment: triple antibiotic paste, amoxicillin+clavulanic acid, cefaclor, and control (no dressing). After 21 days, two root segments were obtained by sectioning the roots horizontally for push-out and microhardness evaluations. MTA was placed into …
