Computational Network Biology Of Host Microbe Crosstalk In Persistent Endodontic Inflammation, Janaki O’Callaghan, Shilpa Bhandi, Shankargounga Patil, Frank W. Licari
Annual Research Symposium
Persistent endodontic infections can endure despite technically adequate root canal treatment, reflecting a biological transition from microbial invasion to a host-driven chronic inflammatory state. This study applied a computational network biology approach to model host–microbe molecular interactions in chronic apical periodontitis and to identify key network hubs sustaining inflammation and periapical bone resorption.

Title: Enhancing Learning in Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics: A Systematic Review of Blended Educational Methods Running Title: Blended Learning in Dental Education
Abstract
Background: The integration of e-learning into dental education has accelerated, driven by technological advancements and the need for adaptive teaching methods post-pandemic. Blended learning, which combines traditional face-to-face instruction with online components, offers a promising approach in dental curricula.
Objective: This systematic review examines the impact of blended learning on theoretical knowledge retention and clinical skills development in restorative dentistry and endodontics among undergraduate dental students.
Methods: A comprehensive literature search was conducted across Scopus, PubMed, Web …

C7: Comparison Of Four Dental Pulp-Capping Agents By Cone-Beam Computed Tomography And Histological Techniques—A Split-Mouth Design Ex Vivo Study, Muruganandhan J, Sujatha G
Annual Research Symposium
Dental pulp-capping is done to preserve vital teeth when the pulp is exposed due to caries, trauma or instrumentation. Various materials are used as pulp-capping agents. The introduction of newer materials requires scientific studies to assess their clinical efficacy. The study was designed as a split-mouth randomized analysis of four pulp-capping agents (calcium hydroxide, mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA), Biodentine and EndoSequence root repair material (ERRM)). Based on selection criteria, 15 orthodontic patients requiring the extraction of four premolars (60 teeth total) were included in the study. After pulp-capping, the teeth were extracted after 8 weeks. We analyzed the extracted teeth …
