Objective: Stainless steel crowns (SSCs) are preformed metal crowns used to restore severely decayed primary teeth. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of pH changes and SSC margin trimming on nickel release in artificial saliva solution. Methods: A total of 90 SSCs were divided into three groups and placed in 35 ml of artificial saliva of pH 6.8, 5, and 3.5. Methods: This retrospective radiographic study was performed on 177 patients with 200 impacted maxillary canines and 12 mesiodentes. Using CBCT images, the unilateral/bilateral occurrence, presence of root dilaceration, mesio-distal and buccopalatal location, impaction condition, contact region of adjacent teeth, presence and degree of root resorption of adjacent teeth, dental follicle width, closest distance to the nasal cavity, nasopalatinal canal, and maxillary sinus were assessed. Nanorobots, also known as “nanites” or “nanomachines,” are theoretical microscopic devices that may be used for the diagnosis and treatment of oral health problems. This thesis examines the effectiveness of an active learning approach in improving oral health literacy and attitude about science among at-risk students in the age range of third to sixth grades. This is done by designing and implementing a novel Oral Health Outreach module and video. Active learning components include engaging PowerPoint, oral hygiene discussion and demonstration, and finally a biofilm simulation, which utilizes glow-in-the-dark paint, dentoform models, and black lights that allow students to visualize the importance of plaque removal. Dentoalveolar ankylosis is the union between the tooth root and the dentoalveolar bone. Clinically, the affected tooth is unsuccessful to erupt, exhibits an infraocclusal position within the dentoalveolar arch, elicits a metallic sound on percussion, and has reduced or absent mobility. Objective: This single case report illustrates the management of idiopathically ankylosed maxillary deciduous first molars. Case report: The patient was a 6-year-old female with maxillary deciduous first molars in infraocclusal position due to idiopathic ankylosis. The ankylosed deciduous teeth were monitored regularly. การศึกษานี้เป็นการศึกษาทางคลินิกแบบแบ่งส่วนช่องปากซึ่งมีการจัดกลุ่มด้วยวิธีสุ่มและมีกลุ่มควบคุม มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบการลุกลามของรอยผุด้านประชิดระยะแรกเริ่มในฟันหลังแท้ที่ระยะเวลา 6 เดือนภายหลังการทาฟลูออไรด์วาร์นิชและคาวิตี้วาร์นิช ในอาสาสมัครจำนวน 30 คนที่มีรอยผุด้านประชิดระยะแรกเริ่มที่ระดับความลึกไม่เกินรอยต่อเนื้อฟัน-เคลือบฟันอย่างน้อย 1 คู่ที่อยู่คนละจตุภาค ซึ่งไม่เป็นรูทางคลินิกและมีการดำเนินโรค อาสาสมัครได้รับการถ่ายภาพรังสีดิจิทัลชนิดกัดปีกที่ระยะเริ่มต้น รอยผุดังกล่าวได้รับการจัดกลุ่มโดยการสุ่มเพื่อทาฟลูออไรด์วาร์นิช หรือคาวิตี้วาร์นิช (กลุ่มควบคุม) อาสาสมัครได้รับการถ่ายภาพรังสีดิจิทัลชนิดกัดปีกอีกครั้งที่ระยะ 6 เดือน เพื่อติดตามการลุกลามของรอยผุ โดยใช้วิธีการวัดผล 2 วิธี ได้แก่ การวัดความหนาแน่นแร่ธาตุของรอยผุจากภาพรังสีซ้อนทับชนิดดิจิทัลระหว่างภาพรังสีที่ระยะเริ่มต้นกับที่ระยะ 6 เดือน และการวัดความลึกรอยผุโดยตรงจากภาพรังสีดิจิทัลชนิดกัดปีกที่ระยะเริ่มต้นและที่ระยะ 6 เดือนด้วยโปรแกรม Image-Pro Plus พบว่าค่าเฉลี่ยความหนาแน่นแร่ธาตุระหว่างรอยผุด้านประชิดระยะแรกเริ่มกลุ่มที่ได้รับการทาฟลูออไรด์วาร์นิช (125.38 ± 6.9) และคาวิตี้วาร์นิช (132.63 ± 8.59) มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p=0.001) เมื่อใช้สถิติ paired-T test ตรงข้ามกับค่าเฉลี่ยผลต่างความลึกรอยผุกลุ่มที่ได้รับการทาฟลูออไรด์วาร์นิช (-0.0078 ± 0.13) และคาวิตี้วาร์นิช (-0.0227 ± 0.11) ที่ไม่พบว่ามีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p=0.525) เมื่อใช้สถิติ paired-T test ดังนั้นจึงยังไม่สามารถสรุปผลของฟลูออไรด์วาร์นิชต่อการลุกลามของรอยผุด้านประชิดระยะแรกเริ่มในฟันหลังแท้ได้ และควรมีการศึกษาเพิ่มเติมในระยะยาวต่อไป

Purpose: Compromised tooth structure on permanent and deciduous teeth in the pediatric population is increasingly being restored with tooth-colored prefabricated zirconia crowns. These restorations may need to be removed or replaced with permanent crowns. The purpose of this in vitro study was to explore the use of an Er,Cr:YSGG laser for removal of prefabricated zirconia crowns cemented with RMGI as a non-invasive alternative to rotary instruments.
