Early-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease (EOAD) is a rare form of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) that makes up around 5% of AD cases. The Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay (MIND) diet, a hybrid diet of the Mediterranean and DASH (dietary approaches to stop hypertension) is an approach that patients with EOAD can adapt to slow down the progression of cognitive decline. Current literature focuses on what the effects of the diet are more for AD and not EOAD specifically, where there is less of an established baseline of nurse knowledge. Survival following stress is dependent upon reprogramming transcription and translation. Communication between these programs following stress is critical for adaptation but is not clearly understood. The Cdk8 kinase module (CKM) of the Mediator complex modulates the transcriptional response to various stresses. Its involvement in regulating translational machinery has yet to be elucidated, highlighting an existing gap in knowledge. Here, we report that the CKM positively regulates a subset of ribosomal protein (RP) and translation initiation factor (TIF)-encoding genes under physiological conditions in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It is common for inpatient medical floor RNs to care for an average of 5-7 patients per assignment plus the role of charge RN or preceptor, which borders the legal limit in the state of Connecticut. We believe that by eliminating an assignment for charge RN’s, safe staffing ratios can be achieved, and RN higher retention rates could be achieved with a strategic PICO investigation.

This study explored the perspectives of speech-language pathology (SLP) graduate students following participation in a Preschool Visual Supports interprofessional education (IPE) project. Though IPE initiatives have become more prevalent in healthcare, they are limited in preparing future education professionals. Using qualitative inquiry, this study aimed to explore and assess the impact of an interdisciplinary collaborative project and how participation might influence SLP students’ future approach to creating visual supports for young children and their confidence to do so. The Timed up and Go(TUG) test is commonly used by PTs to identify individuals scoring >13.5 seconds as at risk for falling (3). This study examined the relationship between spirituality, interconnectedness, and concern for global crises. A sample of 225 participants comprised of students from King's University College, members of the Consciousness Club, and alumni from The Finders Course completed online questionnaires assessing spirituality, psychological well-being, and attitudes toward global crises. Quadratic regression analysis revealed that spirituality accounted for 11% of the variance in concern for global crises. Individuals scoring lower and higher on spirituality reported the most concern for global crises, whereas individuals scoring in the mid-range on spirituality reported less concern for global crises. This quality improvement project aimed to address the lack of standardized communication between staff and management within the behavioral health service line, as this contributed to a negative culture. This project explored if implementing standardized leadership rounds would increase nursing staff satisfaction compared non-standardized rounds. This project utilized a pre- and post- intervention survey design, with a survey consisting of 15 questions. Eleven (N=11) nurses participated in the study, completing both the pre- and post- intervention surveys. This Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) quality improvement (QI) project evaluated an educational intervention aimed at enhancing nursing faculty's AI proficiency and confidence at Regis University’s Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions. Using a mixed-methods, pre- and post-intervention design, validated surveys assessed changes in faculty perceptions, knowledge, and skills related to AI. Introduction: Placenta accreta spectrum disorders (PASD) are associated with severe maternal morbidity, including hemorrhage requiring massive transfusion, intensive care unit (ICU) admission, coagulopathy, organ ischemia or failure, and death. The adherent placenta results in continuous mixed arterial and venous bleeding, preventing the uterus from adequately contracting. This can result in a blood loss rate of 600 mL or more per minute, posing a risk of exsanguination in less than five minutes.
