Management of asymptomatic kidney stones is an ongoing debate with follow-up and treatment guidelines based on low-level evidence. Our aim was to evaluate current management of asymptomatic urinary stones.Materials and methods: A 70-question survey was designed in collaboration with European Association of Urology, Young Academic Urologists, Section of Uro-Technology and Section of Urolithiasis groups and distributed. Responders filled out hypothetical scenarios from 2 perspectives, either as treating physicians, or as patients themselves.Results: A total of 212 (40.01%) responses were obtained. Awake craniotomy (AC) maximizes the resection of lesions in eloquent brain areas while preserving functionality.Tumor delineation with intraoperative use of sodium fluorescein (NaFl) facilitates total resection. Background/aim: Autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease is an inherited kidney disease. This study aims to detect rare and common DNA variants of the PKHD1 gene using next-generation sequencing (NGS) and to classify them in terms of being pathogenic according to The American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics. Black female nontraditional student enrollment is increasing. Black women have higher rates of preventable stress related health issues than their white counterparts. While they have shown endurance and resilience to pursue their degree, it can jeopardize their wellness. This study provides an understanding of how this population perceives their wellness and what can be done to help them matriculate higher education without violating their wellness.

The integration of Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) in dental education is hindered by a lack of formal training among radiology leaders, insufficient institutional support, and financial constraints. Despite the proven efficacy of CBCT in enhancing diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning, its adoption in pre-doctoral curricula remains limited. วัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาผลของการฝึกพลัยโอเมตริกด้วยขาเดียวร่วมกับการเปลี่ยนทิศทางที่มีต่อสมรรถภาพร่างกายในนักกีฬาแฮนด์บอลชาย วิธีดำเนินการวิจัย กลุ่มตัวอย่างนักกีฬาแฮนด์บอลระดับมหาวิทยาลัย เพศชาย อายุระหว่าง 18-25 ปี จำนวน 24 คน แบ่งกลุ่มตัวอย่างออกเป็น 2 กลุ่ม กลุ่มละ 12 คน กลุ่มที่ 1 ฝึกพลัยโอเมตริกด้วยขาเดียวร่วมกับการเปลี่ยนทิศทาง และกลุ่มที่ 2 ฝึกพลัยโอเมตริกด้วยขาสองข้างร่วมกับการเปลี่ยนทิศทาง ทั้งสองกลุ่มฝึกการกระโดดและตามด้วยการวิ่งเร็วเปลี่ยนทิศทาง จำนวน 6-10 ชุด ทำการฝึก 2 วันต่อสัปดาห์ เป็นระยะเวลา 8 สัปดาห์ ก่อนและหลังการฝึก ทำการทดสอบสมรรถภาพทางร่างกาย ได้แก่ ความสามารถในการกระโดดสูง ความคล่องแคล่วว่องไว การความสามารถด้านการทรงตัว และความสามารถด้านการวิ่งด้วยความเร็วสูงสุดแบบซ้ำ จากนั้นนำข้อมูลที่ได้มาวิเคราะห์ทางสถิติโดยหาค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานความแตกต่างภายในกลุ่ม โดยการทดสอบค่าทีแบบรายคู่และความแตกต่างระหว่างกลุ่ม โดยการทดสอบค่าทีแบบอิสระ กำหนดความมีนัยสำคัญที่ระดับ .05 ผลการวิจัย หลังการฝึก 8 สัปดาห์ พบว่า กลุ่มที่ 1 และกลุ่มที่ 2 มีความคล่องแคล่วว่องไว การความสามารถในการทรงตัวในขาข้างที่ถนัด เพิ่มขึ้นอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และกลุ่มที่ 1 มีความสามารถในการกระโดดสูง ความสามารถในการทรงตัวในขาข้างที่ไม่ถนัด และความสามารถด้านการวิ่งด้วยความเร็วสูงสุดแบบซ้ำ เพิ่มขึ้นอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 นอกจากนี้ เมื่อเปรียบเทียบหลังการฝึกระหว่างกลุ่ม พบว่า ทั้ง 2 กลุ่มไม่พบความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติในทุกตัวแปร สรุปผลการวิจัย การฝึกพลัยโอเมตริกด้วยขาเดียวร่วมกับการเปลี่ยนทิศทางช่วยพัฒนา พลังกล้ามเนื้อขา ความคล่องแคล่วว่องไว ความสามารถในการทรงตัว และความสามารถด้านการวิ่งด้วยความเร็วสูงสุดแบบซ้ำ จึงเป็นโปรแกรมที่มีประสิทธิภาพในการพัฒนาสมรรถภาพร่างกายให้แก่นักกีฬาแฮนด์บอลเป็นอย่างได้ดี

Background: Urine specific gravity (USG) is a commonly used assessment method to estimate the prevalence of hypohydration, typically based on a common threshold of ≥ 1.020. Some research has shown that USG can vary based on body size and composition, but the evidence to date is limited. This review examined whether an association between fat-free mass (FFM), a component of body composition, and USG could be detected among published articles that have reported these variables in athletes and physically active individuals.

The experience of the parental environment growing up, parental psychopathology in childhood, exposure to trauma throughout the lifespan, insecure adult attachment, and social support have been established as factors that influence mental health in adulthood. These factors have not yet been studied together as a complex model of emerging adult mental health and attachment. The purpose of this study was to develop a theoretically and empirically supported model of these factors to understand how these factors interact to influence mental health in emerging adulthood. This project is a critical analysis of news reports that discuss the potential origins of the 'COVID-19' pandemic for the purposes of identifying themes and trends in the actual reporting. Around 500 news reports published in the U.S. were analyzed and over 100 of them were selected for the critical review. Articles were found using 'Access News Archive' and Google search engine. Original methods for analyzing and reviewing articles were developed and used. A case study is included aside from the review which focuses specifically on trends in fact-check reporting during the pandemic.

Driving is a cornerstone to an individual's independence and allows for participation in many occupations. There is a need for off-road driving screenings in Rhode Island that is not currently being met. This project aimed to address this community gap by providing off-road driving screenings. Five individuals were included in the project with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). To conduct the off-road driving screenings, the Occupational Therapy Driver Off-Road Assessment Battery (OT-DORA) and a driving simulator were used.
