Background: Syringohydromyelia occurs about 30.0 - 85.0% in patients with Chiari I malformation (CMI). The syrinx formation is supposed to be a result of disturbed cerebrospinal fluid flow dynamics, which is associated with the degree of mechanical blockage that may be related to posterior cranial fossa (PCF) and craniovertebral junction anatomy. Abernethy malformation was demonstrated in a 10-year-old boy, whose underlying disease of blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome (BRBNS) was achieved first-time-right diagnosis by cutaneous stigmata, presenting with persistent gross hematuria and hemodynamic instability secondary to vesical venous malformation. Abdominal computed tomography (CT) imaging was obtained to explore identifiable and treatable causes of the active bleeding, revealing Abernathy malformation and unusual visceral slow-flow vascular malformations including venous varicosities and splenic lymphangiomatosis. Objective: To determine both intra-rater and inter-rater reliability and minimal detectable change (MDC) of visual analog scale (VAS) and digital goniometer in patients with subacute unilateral lateral ankle sprain. Background: Hyperglycemia is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease resulting in vascular damage in both diabetic and non-diabetic people. Objective: To determine acute effect of elevated plasma glucose from a low-dose sugar ingestion on forearm blood flow (FBF) in healthy men. Methods: Ten healthy men (aged 24.1 4.1 years) participated in two experimental conditions: 1) drinking 200 mL of water (Control), and 2) drinking 15 grams of sugar solution (Sugar). Background: Primary liver tumors in children are rare. The objective of this study was to review cases of primary liver tumors in children who underwent tumor removal. Methods: Children (0 - 15 years old) who underwent surgery for primary liver tumors between 2006 and 2019 were studied. Their clinical data and pathological reports were reviewed. Background: Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) is a novel-emerged strain with the person-to-person transmission that had never been found in humans. The main method for the identification of SARS-CoV2 is the genome-based reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) using expensive instrument (real time thermal cycler); therefore, viral RNA is required to perform PCR reaction. On the other hand, false-positive or negative results of RT-PCR detection of this virus are a challenge for all clinical laboratories.
