End-stage renal disease (ESRD) is increasingly a problem in the United States, and factors such as race/ethnicity and gender may not only worsen the risk of the disease but also correspond to worse treatment access. This is significant because ESRD is a heavy economic burden not only on patients, but on caregivers and the health care system, especially as disparities remain between different demographic groups. Factors that retain perioperative nurses are empowerment and job satisfaction. AbstractContraception remains the most effective modern way of controlling unwanted pregnancies among sexually active women. The purpose of this study was to investigate contraceptive use among northern Nigerian women ages 15 to 49 years. The study was anchored on social ecological model, which examined contraceptive use at the individual, interpersonal and community levels. Univariate, bivariate, Chi-square test of independence and logistics regression were conducted using secondary data from the Nigerian Demographic Health Survey 2018. 39,928 women, ages 15 to 49 years in the northwest region of Nigeria were sampled and only 6% used contraceptives. A telemedicine education module (TEM) was designed and developed for this staff education project to improve the knowledge of nurses and providers about best practices in telemedicine and patient safety. A pretest and posttest design was used to evaluate if a gain in knowledge occurred after participants reviewed the TEM, which was designed and developed using Knowles theory of andragogy for adult learning outcomes. Medical errors in emergency departments (EDs) have been researched extensively but people who use EDs have continued to be at risk. A gap in knowledge existed as to what the relationship is between interprofessional (IP) team membership stability (TMS), work experience, collective competence, and ED patient outcomes. Guided by the collective competence theory, this quantitative correlational study sampled three rural EDs, a 33% response rate. IP participants rated collective competence as high.
