Background: Oestrogen receptor (ER)-positive breast cancer patients have a good prognosis, but 30% of these developed resistance through hyperactivation of PI3K/AKT, ERK1/2, and NFκB, which interconnected with ER signalling. In this study, the effects of 1’ acetoxychavicol acetate (ACA), a plant-metabolite acetate ester compound with an NF-kB inhibitory activity, were investigated in a panel of endocrine-resistant breast cancer cells. ภูมิหลัง ผู้ป่วยเบาหวานมีโอกาสที่จะเกิดโรคไซนัสอักสบจากเชื้อราชนิดรุกรานได้ง่ายกว่าผู้ป่วยปกติ ซึ่งอัตราการเสียชีวิตจากโรคนี้ในผู้ป่วยเบาหวานมีความหลากหลายค่อนข้างสูงในแต่ละการศึษา วัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่จะทำนายอัตราการรอดชีวิตของผู้ป่วยเบาหวานที่เกิดโรคไซนัสอักสบจากเชื้อราชนิดรุกราน วิธีการศึกษา การศึกษาแบบย้อนหลังนี้ได้จัดทำในโรงพยาบาลระดับตติยภูมิ 4 แห่ง ในประเทศไทย, มาเลเซีย และเมียนมาร์ โดยเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลในผู้ป่วยเบาหวานที่เกิดโรคไซนัสอักสบจากเชื้อราชนิดรุกราน ตั้งแต่ปี ค.ศ. 2008 ถึง ค.ศ.2019 ผลที่ต้องการศึกษาคืออัตราการรอดชีวิต ปัจจัยทำนายที่นำมาวิเคราะห์ ได้แก่ อายุ, ระดับฮีโมโกลบินเอวันซีในเลือด, ภาวะเลือดเป็นกรดคีโต, ระดับเม็ดเลือดขาว, ภาวะน้ำตาลในเลือดสูง, ระยะเวลาที่เป็นโรคเบาหวาน, การใช้ยารักษาเบาหวานในปัจจุบัน, ระดับครีเอทีนีนในเลือด, และการกระจายของโรคไซนัสอักสบจากเชื้อราชนิดรุกรานเข้าไปที่ตา, คาเวอร์นัสไซนัส และโพรงสมอง ผลการศึกษา มีการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลในผู้ป่วยเบาหวานที่เกิดโรคไซนัสอักสบจากเชื้อราชนิดรุกราน 65 ราย (อายุเฉลี่ย 57.9±13.4 ปี, เพศชาย 60%) ผลพบว่า อัตราการเสียชีวิตอยู่ที่ 21.5 % โดยพบว่าการกระจายของโรคไซนัสอักสบจากเชื้อราชนิดรุกรานเข้าคาเวอร์นัส ไซนัส (hazard ratio 5.1, 95% CI [1.4–18.2], p=0.01) และโพรงสมอง (hazard ratio 3.4, 95% CI [1.1–11.3], p=0.05) เป็นปัจจัยทำนายอัตราการเสียชีวิต ส่วนการรักษาเบาหวานเป็นปัจจัยที่ลดความเสี่ยงของการเสียชีวิต (hazard ratio 0.2, 95% CI [0.1–0.9], p=0.03) ด้านอัตราการรอดชีวิตในระยะเวลา 6 เดือนในผู้ป่วยที่มีการกระจายของโรคไซนัสอักสบจากเชื้อราชนิดรุกรานเข้าไปและไม่เข้าไปที่คาเวอร์นัสไซนัสอยู่ที่ 51.4% และ 83.6% ตามลำดับ, (p <0.01), เข้าไปและไม่เข้าไปที่โพรงสมองอยู่ที่ 53.3% และ 88.9% ตามลำดับ, (p <0.01) และมีการใช้ยารักษาเบาหวานและไม่มีการใช้ยารักษาเบาหวานอยู่ที่ 82.3% และ 57.5% ตามลำดับ, (p =0.05) สรุป การกระจายของโรคไซนัสอักสบจากเชื้อราชนิดรุกรานเข้าไปที่คาเวอร์นัสไซนัสและโพรงสมองเพิ่มความเสี่ยงต่อการเสียชีวิตในผู้ป่วยเบาหวาน การรอดชีวิตมีความสัมพันธ์กับการใช้ยารักษาเบาหวานในปัจจุบัน

The objective of this study was to evaluate and compare the antioxidant activity and tyrosinase inhibition activity of Murraya paniculata (Linn.) Jack leaves extract (MPE) obtained from different extraction solvents for the use of cosmetic purposes. The result showed that 75 % ethanolic extract presented the highest antioxidant activity (IC50 = 1.43 mg/mL), the total phenolic content of 66.12 mg GAE/g and the total flavonoids content of 7.83 mg QE/g. In this editorial, we introduce our perspective on managing patient expectations through gaining research insights on health service experiences of patients and their support network. Drawing upon research from social psychology, we examine the types of threat that typically confront patients during health care service experiences, and their subsequent coping strategies. This study explored the role religious belief and practice played amongst Jewish, female inmates during their incarceration. A group of ten correctional chaplains who work with Jewish, female, inmates and a comparison group of ten chaplains who work with Protestant, female inmates were interviewed. The study determined the reasons for and benefits of religious observance among these inmates and included assisting in dealing with fear, providing a sense of peace, and deceitful motives for personal gains. The current paper proposes utilizing extant flow disruption data, collected from two cardiovascular operating rooms, and utilizing that to develop a mathematical model. Of particular interest is bypass time which is a critical surgical phase, the length of which has been linked to post-operation complications such as hospital-borne infections and readmission. The purpose of this study was to develop a stable niosomal eye drop containing angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor for lowering intraocular pressure. Three ACE inhibitors i.e., captopril, quinapril and fosinopril (FOS) were used in this study. Their inclusion complexes formation with parent CDs i.e., alphaCD, betaCD and gammaCD were determined. All drugs represented 1:1 stoichiometry inclusion complex with each CD. Of these, FOS/gammaCD complex showed the highest stability constant. The objective of this study was to evaluate color stability, nanohardness and elastic modulus of denture base acrylic resins with various polymerization techniques after storing in coffee, distilled water or dark chamber. Ninety disc-shaped (9X2 mm) specimens of heat-cured (TRX), microwave-cured (BTC) and light-cured (TRD) were fabricated, and randomly divided in three conditions (n=10). This study aimed to examine the opposing natural tooth wear between polished and annealed monolithic zirconia crownon the dental implantafter 6-month delivery. Seven patients who needed the dental implant treatment were randomized to receive monolithic zirconia crowns (VITA YZ HTWhite, VITA Zahnfabrik, Germany). Total 10 zirconia crowns in 7 patients were included in this study.
