Background/aim: We aimed to investigate the prevalence of anti-RNA polymerase (RNAP) III and other autoantibodies in a group of Turkish patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc) and their relation with clinical features. Materials and methods: The prevalence of anti-RNAP III and other autoantibodies was analyzed in 93 patients with SSc and control groups including 86 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and 65 healthy subjects, respectively. Background/aim: To evaluate the diagnostic performance of strain elastography (SE) combined with B-mode ultrasound in distinguishing between idiopathic granulomatous mastitis (IGM) and malignant breast lesions. Materials and methods: Seventy-seven malignant breast lesions and 36 IGM were assessed using B-mode ultrasound and SE. Ultrasonographic findings for all the breast lesions were classified based on the 2013 American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System (BI-RADS-US), and the SE findings were evaluated based on the strain ratio and a five-point scale. Background/aim: This study aimed to investigate the effect of chemoradiotherapy (CRT) on interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), which are critical markers of the clinical radiation response of patients with locally advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). Materials and methods: Thirty patients who were treated with CRT and 20 healthy controls were prospectively evaluated. Circulating levels of cytokines were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay procedure. Post-CRT and pre-CRT levels were compared. Background/aim: This study aimed to assess expression changes of serum sPD-1 levels in HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B patients with entecavir treatment and explore the correlation with the curative effect. Materials and methods: A total of 220 HBeAg-positive CHB patients and 207 healthy individuals were included. sPD-1 levels and virological and biochemical responses were assessed at baseline and at 12, 24, and 48 weeks in CHB patients a er antiviral therapy. Materials and methods: Demographic data, season of admission, vitamin D levels at admission, premorbid lifestyle scores, comorbid conditions, and admission diagnosis were recorded in 306 ICU patients.
