Purpose/Objectives: This project studied how prepared community pharmacists are to respond to acute medical emergencies, as well as their perceived efficacy in addressing these situations. Specifically, it considered what training pharmacists have for responding to medical emergencies, what emergency medical equipment pharmacies have on-hand, the frequency that medical emergencies occur within pharmacies, and the types of emergencies encountered. It also measured self and collective efficacy of pharmacists in responding to medical emergencies within their pharmacy to determine if differences in self-efficacy or collective efficacy exist. The objective of this study was to evaluate the factor structure, validity, and reliability of the Compulsive Exercise Test (CET) in an adolescent clinical eating disorder population. The data source was the Helping to Outline Paediatric Eating Disorders (HOPE) Project, a prospective ongoing registry study comprising consecutive paediatric tertiary eating disorder referrals. Adolescents (N = 104; 12-17 years) with eating disorders completed the CET and other measures. Factor structure, convergent validity, and internal consistency were evaluated. Despite failing to identify a factor structure, the study provided clear evidence of the multidimensionality of the measure. The total score correlated significantly …

วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อศึกษาลักษณะจิตบริการของพยาบาลวิชาชีพ โรงพยาบาลเอกชน\n\nรูปแบบการวิจัย: การวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา โดยเทคนิค Ethnographic Delphi Future Research (EDFR)\n \nวิธีดําเนินการวิจัย: ผู้ให้ข้อมูล คือ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญจํานวน 20 คน การดําเนินการวิจัยประกอบด้วย 3 ขั้นตอน คือ ขั้นตอนที่ 1 สัมภาษณ์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญเกี่ยวกับลักษณะจิตบริการของพยาบาลวิชาชีพ โรงพยาบาลเอกชน ขั้นตอนที่ 2 นําข้อมูลที่ได้มาวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาแล้วนํามาสร้างแบบสอบถามเพื่อให้ผู้เชี่ยวชาญแสดงความ คิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับระดับความสําคัญของข้อคําถามแต่ละข้อที่เป็นลักษณะจิตบริการในการปฏิบัติงานของ พยาบาลวิชาชีพโรงพยาบาลเอกชน ขั้นตอนที่ 3 นําข้อมูลที่ได้มาคํานวณค่ามัธยฐานและค่าพิสัย ระหว่างควอไทล์แล้วส่งแบบสอบถามกลับไปให้ผู้เชี่ยวชาญยืนยันความคิดเห็นอีกครั้ง หลังจากนั้นนํา ข้อมูลที่ได้มาคํานวณค่ามัธยฐาน และค่าพิสัยระหว่างควอไทล์ เพื่อสรุปผลการวิจัย\n \nผลการวิจัย: ลักษณะจิตบริการของพยาบาลวิชาชีพ โรงพยาบาลเอกชน ประกอบด้วย 3 ด้าน ดังนี้ 1) ด้านเจตคติที่ดีต่อการให้บริการ ประกอบด้วย 4 ด้านย่อย ได้แก่ การคิดเชิงบวกต่อการให้บริการ การให้บริการด้วยความเต็มใจ การเข้าใจธรรมชาติของผู้รับบริการ และการเข้าใจความคาดหวังและ ความต้องการของผู้มารับบริการ 2) ด้านคุณลักษณะของพยาบาล ประกอบด้วย 2 ด้านย่อย ได้แก่ การ มีบุคลิกภาพที่สร้างความประทับใจ และความสามารถในการบริหารจัดการ 3) ด้านความรับผิดชอบ ประกอบด้วย 3 ด้านย่อย ได้แก่ ความรับผิดชอบต่อวิชาชีพ ความรับผิดชอบต่อองค์การ และความรับผิดชอบ ต่อสังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อม\n\nสรุป: ผู้บริหารการพยาบาลโรงพยาบาลเอกชน สามารถนําผลการวิจัยไปใช้เป็นแนวทางส่งเสริมจิตบริการ และฝึกอบรมพยาบาลวิชาชีพให้มีพฤติกรรมบริการที่เป็นเลิศ\n

วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อศึกษาภาวะผู้นําบารมีของหัวหน้าหอผู้ป่วย สภาพแวดล้อมในการทํางานและผลผลิต ของงาน ของพยาบาลวิชาชีพ โรงพยาบาลมหาวิทยาลัยของรัฐ และศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างภาวะ ผู้นําบารมีของหัวหน้าหอผู้ป่วย สภาพแวดล้อมในการทํางาน กับผลผลิตของงานของพยาบาลวิชาชีพ โรงพยาบาลมหาวิทยาลัยของรัฐ\n \nรูปแบบการวิจัย: การวิจัยแบบพรรณนาเชิงความสัมพันธ์\n \nวิธีดําเนินการวิจัย: กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ พยาบาลวิชาชีพ จํานวน 382 คน ได้จากการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบ หลายขั้นตอนจากโรงพยาบาล 5 แห่ง เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย แบบสอบถามภาวะผู้นํา บารมีของหัวหน้าหอผู้ป่วย แบบสอบถามสภาพแวดล้อมในการทํางาน และแบบสอบถามผลผลิตของ งานของพยาบาลวิชาชีพ โรงพยาบาลมหาวิทยาลัยของรัฐ ซึ่งผ่านการตรวจสอบความตรงตามเนื้อหา จากผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ วิเคราะห์ค่าความเที่ยงของแบบสอบถาม โดยหาค่าสัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟ่าของครอนบาค มีค่าเท่ากับ .93, .93 และ .94 ตามลําดับ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูล โดยการแจกแจงความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบเพียร์สัน\n \nผลการวิจัย: 1) ภาวะผู้นําบารมีของหัวหน้าหอผู้ป่วย สภาพแวดล้อมในการทํางาน และผลผลิตของ งานของพยาบาลวิชาชีพ โรงพยาบาลมหาวิทยาลัยของรัฐ อยู่ในระดับดี (x̄ = 3.91 ± .48, 3.83 ± .44, และ 4.07 ± .40)\n2) ภาวะผู้นําบารมีของหัวหน้าหอผู้ป่วย (r = .44) และสภาพแวดล้อมในการทํางาน (r = .70) มีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับผลผลิตของงานของพยาบาลวิชาชีพ โรงพยาบาลมหาวิทยาลัยของรัฐ อย่างมี นัยสําคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05\n\nสรุป: ผู้บริหารการพยาบาลควรส่งเสริมภาวะผู้นําบารมีของหัวหน้าหอผู้ป่วย และสภาพแวดล้อมในการ ทํางาน ควบคู่กันไปเพื่อให้บุคลากรพยาบาลสามารถปฏิบัติงานได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและประสิทธิผล ก่อให้เกิดผลผลิตของงานเพิ่มมากขึ้น\n

วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อศึกษาผลของโปรแกรมการให้ข้อมูล การสร้างแรงจูงใจ และการพัฒนาทักษะในการ ป้องกันโรคเอดส์ต่อพฤติกรรมการใช้ถุงยางอนามัยในพนักงานหญิงบริการ\n \nรูปแบบการวิจัย: การวิจัยแบบกึ่งทดลอง\n \nวิธีดําเนินการวิจัย: กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ พนักงานหญิงบริการที่ปฏิบัติงานในสถานบริการคาราโอเกะ 2 แห่ง ที่มีลักษณะการให้บริการใกล้เคียงกัน คัดเลือกสถานบริการโดยการเลือกตามสะดวก แบ่งเป็นกลุ่มทดลอง 25 คน (1 สถานบริการ) และกลุ่มควบคุม 25 คน (1 สถานบริการ) กลุ่มควบคุมได้รับความรู้ตามปกติ กลุ่มทดลองได้รับโปรแกรมการให้ข้อมูล การสร้างแรงจูงใจ และการพัฒนาทักษะในการป้องกันโรคเอดส์ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการทดลอง คือ โปรแกรมการให้ข้อมูลฯ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บข้อมูล คือ แบบสอบถาม พฤติกรรมการใช้ถุงยางอนามัย เครื่องมือวิจัยผ่านการตรวจสอบความตรงเชิงเนื้อหาจากผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ 5 คน แบบสอบถามพฤติกรรมการใช้ถุงยางอนามัยมีค่าดัชนีความตรงเชิงเนื้อหาเท่ากับ 1 สัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟ่า ของครอนบาคเท่ากับ .84 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติเชิงบรรยายและการทดสอบค่าที่\n \nผลการวิจัย: 1) ค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนพฤติกรรมการใช้ถุงยางอนามัยในพนักงานหญิงบริการหลังได้รับ โปรแกรมการให้ข้อมูล การสร้างแรงจูงใจ และการพัฒนาทักษะในการป้องกันโรคเอดส์สูงกว่าก่อนได้รับ โปรแกรมฯ อย่างมีนัยสําคัญทางสถิติ (p < .01)\n2) ค่าเฉลี่ยของผลต่างคะแนนพฤติกรรมการใช้ถุงยางอนามัยในพนักงานหญิงบริการกลุ่มที่ ได้รับโปรแกรมการให้ข้อมูล การสร้างแรงจูงใจ และการพัฒนาทักษะในการป้องกันโรคเอดส์สูงกว่ากลุ่ม ที่ได้รับความรู้ตามปกติอย่างมีนัยสําคัญทางสถิติ (p < .01)\n \nสรุป: โปรแกรมการให้ข้อมูล การสร้างแรงจูงใจ และการพัฒนาทักษะในการป้องกันโรคเอดส์สามารถ เพิ่มอัตราการใช้ถุงยางอนามัยในพนักงานหญิงบริการ จึงควรมีการส่งเสริมให้มีการให้ข้อมูล สร้างแรงจูงใจ และพัฒนาทักษะในการป้องกันโรคเอดส์ในกลุ่มเสี่ยงนี้อย่างกว้างขวางเพื่อลดอัตราการติดเอดส์ต่อไป\n

วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อศึกษาสมรรถนะของพยาบาลเวชปฏิบัติทั่วไป\n \nรูปแบบการวิจัย: การวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา โดยใช้เทคนิค EDFR\n \nวิธีดําเนินการวิจัย: ผู้ให้ข้อมูล คือ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญจํานวน 18 คน ประกอบด้วย ผู้เชี่ยวชาญทางการบริหาร ในองค์กรวิชาชีพ 5 คน ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการศึกษาพยาบาลจากสมาคมพยาบาลเวชปฏิบัติ 5 คน คณาจารย์ ในสถาบันการศึกษาที่จัดหลักสูตรฝึกอบรมพยาบาลเวชปฏิบัติทั่วไป 5 คน และผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิซึ่งเป็น แพทย์จากสมาคมแพทย์เวชปฏิบัติทั่วไป 3 คน การดําเนินการวิจัยประกอบด้วย 3 ขั้นตอน คือ รอบที่ 1 การสัมภาษณ์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญเกี่ยวกับสมรรถนะของพยาบาลเวชปฏิบัติทั่วไป รอบที่ 2 นําข้อมูลจากรอบที่ 1 มาวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาและสร้างแบบสอบถามสมรรถนะของพยาบาลเวชปฏิบัติทั่วไป เพื่อให้ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ แสดงความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับระดับความสําคัญของข้อรายการสมรรถนะแต่ละด้าน และรอบที่ 3 นําข้อมูล ที่ได้จากรอบที่ 2 มาคํานวณหาค่ามัธยฐาน และค่าพิสัยระหว่างควอไทล์ เพื่อส่งให้ผู้เชี่ยวชาญยืนยัน คําตอบเพื่อสรุปผลการวิจัย\n \nผลการวิจัย: สมรรถนะของพยาบาลเวชปฏิบัติทั่วไป ประกอบด้วย 3 ด้าน มีจํานวนทั้งหมด 34 ข้อ ดังนี้ 1) ด้านการรักษาโรคเบื้องต้นและการให้ภูมิคุ้มกันโรค มีจํานวน 16 ข้อ 2) ด้านการพยาบาลในชุมชน มีจํานวน 10 ข้อ และ 3) ด้านการจัดการภาวะสุขภาพ มีจํานวน 8 ข้อ\n \nสรุป: ผู้บริหารการพยาบาลสามารถนําผลการวิจัยไปใช้ในการจัดการมอบหมายงานให้สอดคล้องกับ สมรรถนะของพยาบาลเวชปฏิบัติทั่วไป\n

The Massachusetts Healthy Aging Data Report: Community Profiles was created by researchers at the Gerontology Institute of the John W. McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies at the University of Massachusetts Boston and commissioned by the Tufts Health Plan Foundation.

Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly (JCHE) is a large, multi-campus organization that houses and serves 1,500 residents (80 market rate and 1,420 low income). The average age is 80 years old, with one-third of residents 85 and older. Three quarters of the residents are not native English speakers. Through HUD and other funding, JCHE offers a range of supports to these residents, including translators, interpreters and staff with language and cultural competence, meals, transportation and, through their Service Coordinators, facilitation of resident access to government benefits, home care and other services.

Benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) that is a known carcinogen that also acts as an endocrine disruptor. Multigenerational impacts of PAH exposure are suggested in human cohort studies. To investigate mechanisms and developmental phenotypes associated with a dietary BaP exposure, zebrafish (Danio rerio) were used. Electrostatic charging occurs in most aerosol generation processes and can significantly influence subsequent particle deposition rates and patterns in the respiratory tract through the image and space forces. The behavior of inhaled aerosols with charge is expected to be most affected in the upper airways, where particles come in close proximity to the narrow turbinate surface, and before charge dissipation occurs as a result of high humidity. Despite the identification of functional deficits in those with CAI, more research is required to determine the extent to which CAI influences the multidimensional profile of health-related quality of life.

Although accelerometers are extensively used for assessing gait, limited research has evaluated the concurrent validity of these devices on less predictable walking surfaces or the comparability of different methods used for gravitational acceleration compensation. This study evaluated the concurrent validity of trunk accelerations derived from a tri-axial inertial measurement unit while walking on firm, compliant and uneven surfaces and contrasted two methods used to remove gravitational accelerations; i) subtraction of the best linear fit from the data (detrending); and ii) use of orientation information (quaternions) from the inertial measurement unit. Poor breath management is problematic for singing. Voice students and singing teachers typically attribute breath management issues to abdominal-diaphragmatic breathing technique. The present study seeks to determine whether glottal insufficiency may also contribute to singer’s breath management problems. Studies have revealed a relationship between incomplete vocal fold closure and inefficiency in the speaking voice. Background
The role of self-management is often ambiguous, yet, it is an important area in clinical practice for palliative nurses. A clear conceptual understanding, however, of what it represents is lacking.

Method
This paper reports an analysis of the concept of self-management support in palliative nursing. Avant and Walker's method was used to guide this concept analysis. A search of electronic databases (1990–2013), use of internet search engines and supplementary hand searching produced an international data set of reviews, empirical research, editorials, protocols and guidelines.
