Introduction: Cochlear Implants (CI) are designed to address severe to profound hearing loss. When implantation occurs after language develops, it is referred to as post-lingual (PL) implantation. Currently, no interventions have been identified to address the communication challenges that young adults with PL-CIs may face after they complete post-CI rehabilitation services. This study examined the effectiveness of an educational intervention for healthcare clinicians to increase knowledge and awareness of non-benzodiazepine treatments for the treatment of anxiety and panic disorders. The target population were healthcare clinicians in a metropolitan area that commonly treat anxiety and panic disorders. Clinicians from different specialties were recruited to participate and evaluated on their knowledge of benzodiazepines on a 3-question pretest survey using a Likert scale. Four occupational therapy students collaborated with 360 Pediatric Therapy, a Seattle based pediatric occupational therapy practice. The collaborating practitioners, Catherine (Cate), Heather, and Miriam, were interested in the current and relevant evidence surrounding factors impacting handwriting legibility with children. Student researchers systematically reviewed the literature from 2007-2023 to address the question, "What are the main factors that affect or correlate with handwriting legibility for school- aged children K-5?” Out of the 936 articles screened, researchers found 36 articles that met the inclusion criteria. This quality improvement project explored the implementation of the Alert Program's (AP) first and second phases within the Foundation for Positively Kids social skills program, PK Social ETC. This study focused on three staff members' perception of the Alert Program's usefulness on their clients' self-regulation skills and occupational participation when engaged in their daily social skills group.
