本研究修改Comprehensive Mental Status Examination，對81名因為中風而接受榮總復健治療的病人進行測驗，比較左、右大腦損傷對智力所造成的影響。所有的病人都是第一次受傷，單側受損，以右手為優勢手，測驗時病人身體狀況均已穩定，神智清醒。病人年齡分佈為3i歲至75歲，平均60.08±7.68歲。教育程度小學以下者13人，小學程度12人，初中14人，高中21人，大專14人，另有7人為不能確定其教育程度者。病人從發病至接受測驗之時間間隔為6日至90日，平均26.26±16.71日。81名病人中有32人為右腦損傷，49人為左腦受損者，49人中有18入為失語症患者。兩半球受損的病人在教育程度、年齡及時間間隔上均無顯著差異。 測驗結果，右腦損傷者在注意力項目中的digit repitition，語言項目中的naming，記憶項目中的orientation，remotememory，new learning ability，建構能力中的drawing to command及高層次認知活動中的每一項目都是以右腦損傷的病人表現較佳，兩組的差異達統計上顯著水準。 對測驗題目作因素分析(factor analysis)，抽出語言、抽象思考，空間關係及記憶保存四大因素。這些因素的發現，並配合大腦功能的劃分，可以解釋兩組病人在測驗上的差異。失語症病人除去之後，兩組差異不顯著，對這種現象，文內有進一步的說明。

4歲以上接受治療的構音異常患者，男性有70例，女性有37例，合計107例。其中有鼻音缺乏症狀者31.8%。錯誤音的個數由2到25個，平均為12.5個音。治療的方法為(1)聽覺區分訓練，(2)發言訓練，(3)節奏訓練。治療後患者有很大的進步，42.1%的患者完全治療，61.7%的患者治療率超過 50%以上。治療時間每次30分鐘，達到完全治療所需之治癒次數後6次到105次，平均為29．0次，女性較男性所需之平均治療次數少。治癒率愈高，所需之治療次數愈多。有鼻音缺乏症狀，在治療時對男性沒有影響，'對女性則會使治療次數增加很多。患者錯誤音的個數在 16個以下時，大多只錯字首音;超過17個錯誤音以上時，連字尾音也產生錯誤，治療困難，使超過50%以上治癒的人數顯著降低，並使所需之治療次數顯著增加。

內、外膝眼與陰、陽陵泉是針灸在臨床上常用的穴位，用以治療膝關節疼痛。但是用膝眼治療一段時期以後，常有滑囊炎之發生，而陰、陽陵泉卻甚少有不正常之現象。本實驗之設計即在于探討針刺這些穴位對組織之傷害。將十五隻紐西蘭種白兔分為三組，每組五隻。第一組每日針刺陰、陽陵泉及內、外膝眼各二次。第二組與第一組刺同樣穴位，但每日僅一次。第三組每三日針刺陰、陽陵泉各一次。針刺前，先測定各組白兔之關節圍度，血液中之紅血球、白血球計數，及血色素濃度與紅血球沉降速率，並做膝關節X光攝影。經過針刺15日，30日，60日，120日後，每組分別重複前述各項檢查，並從各組任意犧牲一隻白兔做關節滑囊之切片檢查。比較不同之針刺頻率及部位，對關節及其周圍組織之傷害。結果顯示，關節及其周圍組織所產生之病變，的確與針刺之頻率及時間之長短有關。尤其，針刺之頻率愈高、時間愈長，對組織之傷害程度也就愈大。因此，同一穴位之針刺頻率及時間不宜過多；其針刺間隔最好在一日或二日以上，時間以不超過60日為宜。

Because there is no standard data available for normal Chinese in assessing patients with tardy ulnar palsy, we performed this study to establish normal values of motor nerve conduction velocity (NCV) in crossing elbow.Twenty subjects, age between 20-35 years, were examined with Meditro Model 440 EMG, the room temperature was controlled around 22.0±1℃ by air conditioning. The results of mean normal motor NCV in different segments of ulnar nerve are as follows: below elbow to wrist is 66.45±6.28 m/sec; above elbow to wrist is 57.72±3.99 m/sec; across elbow is 46.64±5.81 m/sec. Serum creatine phosphokinase (CK) and its three isoenzymes (CK-MM, CK-MB and CK-BB types) were studied on 23 patients with well-defined Duchenne muscular dystrophy and 24 normal subjects. The cardiac status of the patients was evaluated with ECG examination. The functional capacity of each patient was evaluated and divided into 9 calsses.The CK activities (IU/L) of the patients were significantly higher than those of the normal subjects (p＜0.05). CK isoenzyme analysis with electrophoresis on cellulose acetate revaled that the sera of the 24 normal subjects contained only CK-MM isoenzyme. 肢體殘障不僅對殘障者本身以及病人家屬有所影響，同時殘障者對它的看法亦會直接影響復健工作的進行。各國殘障者對生理殘障又因社會文化，經濟背景等的相異，而各有不同的看法。關於這問題，過去外國雖有研究，我國卻鮮有報告，值得我們去探討。本研究乃對十名因中風偏癱病人，十名因脊髓損傷下身癱瘓病人以及十名截肢病人，採用當面問卷方式，調查其對生理殘障的看法，作為今後復健工作的參考。結果發現大多數的病人，認為因脊髓損傷無法坐或站是最嚴重的問題，以下依次為雙臂癱瘓，因內臟疾病無法坐或站，雙手切除，雙眼全盲，雙腿癱瘓，雙腿完全切除，偏癱，一手一腿切除，最不嚴重的是容貌的殘缺。除了病人本身因生理殘障不同，看法略有不一樣外，病人對殘障的看法亦受到年齡的影響，同時似乎與疾病在目前能否醫療，能否復健有密切關係。另外，在本研究中發現，死亡所引起的心理壓力有很大的變異性，且病人的年齡，殘障的類型並不影響其對死亡的看法。

A survey of incidence of spinal cord injury (SCI) was made in 15 hospitals in Taipei city from Jan. 1978 to Dec. 1979. A total of 196 new SCI patients were enrolled during the period. Among them, 44 cases were residents of Taipei city, revealing the annual incidence of SCI in Taipei city to be 10 per million population. The other 152 cases were residents of other parts of the country. Accordingly, it is estimated that about 170 persons are suffering SCI annually in the whole Taiwan Area. This figure might be underestimated because some of the cases who died …
