The purpose of this quantitative quasi-experimental nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group study was to examine the effect of structured prebriefing on pre-simulation state anxiety among baccalaureate nursing students participating in high-fidelity simulation (HFS) at a private faith-based university in the South-Central United States (U.S.). Simulation is widely used in nursing education; however, nursing students frequently experience elevated anxiety prior to simulation that may negatively influence learning and performance. Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are associated with increased risks of chronic disease, mental health disorders, substance use disorders, and premature mortality. Despite growing evidence supporting ACE screening, it remains inconsistent in many primary care settings, particularly among underserved populations. The purpose of this quality improvement project was to evaluate whether implementation of a standardized ACE screening workflow increased ACE screening completion and behavioral health referral within a nonprofit primary care clinic serving uninsured, underinsured, and refugee populations.

Corporal punishment (CP) and severe physical punishment (SPP) remain a major public health, child rights, and child protection policy concern. In Egypt, despite legislative reforms, survey-weighted analysis of the 2021 Egypt Family Health Survey (EFHS) 2021 (CAPMAS, 2022) reveals prevalence rates of 60.5% for CP and 27.4% for SPP among children aged 1–14 (author’s calculations using EFHS-2021, n=7623), yet evidence distinguishing the determinants of routine corporal punishment from escalation to severe physical punishment remains limited in low- and middle-income contexts. Objective: This study evaluated the effectiveness of the Finding Solid Ground (FSG) program, delivered through psychoeducational groups, as an adjunct to individual therapy for adults with dissociative disorders (DDs). Method: In this naturalistic study, seventy-two adults with DDs were recruited to participate in a 31-week FSG psychoeducational program across multiple outpatient sites while continuing individual psychotherapy. Participants completed assessments at baseline, midpoint, and endpoint, measuring dissociative symptoms, PTSD symptoms, emotion regulation, and adaptive capacities. Analyses examined changes over time and controlled for demographic variables. Results: Forty-seven participants completed all assessments (70% retention). The prevalence of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is rapidly increasing among adults aged 50 years and older in the United States, posing a significant public health challenge. In 2021, an estimated 38.4 million Americans had diabetes, with adults aged 50years and above constituting a disproportionately large segment of this population. Evidence suggests that community-based lifestyle and educational interventions are effective in reducing the risk of T2DM among older adults. Purpose: This study examined the effectiveness of a mental health focused interprofessional education (IPE) event, where undergraduate and graduate students from four different healthcare disciplines collaboratively completed a case study activity, that included diversity and mental health components.

Methods: A quasi-experimental, one-group pretest–posttest design was used. Background: Traditional, precepted clinical practice sites continue to decline. Community health fairs (CHFs), led by experienced interprofessional faculty, present a valuable opportunity. In addition, CHFs provide students with hands-on experience in real-world settings.

Aim: This study examined the perspectives and clinical experiences of interprofessional faculty and students participating in a CHF.

This study aimed to explore factors underlying the persistently high rates of undernutrition among young children in urban (Saysetha) and peri-urban (Pakgneum) districts of the Vientiane Capital in Lao PDR. Background: HIV remains a persistent public health concern, with 1.3 million people affected worldwide. Although advances in treatment have improved long-term management, early prevention still relies on identifying individuals at elevated risk. Background: We conducted cumulative meta-analyses to quantify the degree to which maternal prenatal anxiety impacts preterm birth (PTB) and low birthweight (LBW), and to identify when findings reached stability, enabling confident recommendations for early interventions. Methods: Following PRISMA guidelines, we systematically searched PubMed/MEDLINE, PsycINFO, Scopus, EMBASE, CINAHL (EBSCO), ProQuest, and the Cochrane Library from database inception to May 7, 2025. The methodological quality of included studies was assessed using the Newcastle–Ottawa Scale. Inverse variance weighted random-effects cumulative meta-analysis was performed to pool adjusted odds ratios (AORs) with sequential inclusion of newly published studies. Frustration is a common emotion felt by up to 70% of workers in high-stress environments.1 As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, I can attest to the postanesthesia care unit (PACU) as being a high-stress environment. The PACU Registered Nurses and staff provide expert care to postoperative patients. The PACU offers postoperative patients a safe recovery from anesthesia through monitoring and stabilization, as well as pain and symptom management through prevention and early intervention. Background: Advance care planning (ACP) is essential in achieving goal-concordant care for patients with metastatic lung cancer (MLC), yet it remains underutilized.

Local problem: Despite its benefits, ACP has been inconsistently integrated into outpatient oncology settings, and a baseline evaluation at the project site revealed that only 11% of patients with MLC had ACP documented in the outpatient care clinic.

Methods: This Quality Improvement initiative implemented a formal, Nurse Practitioner (NP)-led intervention into routine oncology care.
