Preclinical Development Of Novel Chemotherapeutic Agent Ac1lpszg: Formulation Optimization, In Vitro Characterization, And In Vivo Pharmacokinetics, Ritu Gupta

Preclinical development of novel chemotherapeutic agent AC1LPSZG, a mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) inhibitor, involved development of sensitive reverse-phase ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) and LC-MS/MS methods for quantification of AC1LPSZG in in vitro study samples and rat plasma, respectively. Pharmacokinetic studies were done in SD rats after intravenous injection of cosolvent formulations. The resulting pharmacokinetic parameters were analyzed using non-compartmental analysis (NCA) and two-compartmental modeling. Poly (D, L-lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) is most used biodegradable synthetic polymer for nano drug delivery due to its non-toxic and biodegradable nature, and tunable release properties. Screening Tcf19 And Kif18b To Determine Co-Regulation With Mybl1 In Triple Negative Breast Cancer Patient Tissues, Tyra Sharda Ivory

The aggressive behavior in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is due to genetic signaling events, which call for the comprehensive analyses of genes differentially regulated in the cancers. Our laboratory previously found that MYBL1 was over-expressed in a fraction of the TNBC, compared to some luminal, and other breast cancer subtypes. The MYBL1 gene is a proto-oncogene that serves as a strong transcriptional activator. The gene is involved in signaling events related to cell cycle signaling, differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis, all which are differentially regulated in cancers. Acute lung injury affects around 200,000 critically ill patients annually, with a mortality rate near 33%. With a lack of targeted therapies, it is vital to discover and understand the fundamental cellular processes that drive macrophage inflammation. In the field of macrophage immunometabolism, it is accepted that macrophages upregulating glycolysis indicates a role in proinflammatory processes, however, there is a lack of knowledge surrounding the intermediate pathways in glycolysis. This study examined the effects of serine, glycine, one-carbon metabolism inhibition on LPS-induced inflammation in bone marrow-derived macrophages. The Bridge: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Legal & Social Policy
In spite of significant advances in the prevention, diagnoses, and treatment of most chronic diseases, there is evidence that racial and ethnic people of color tend to receive lower quality of care and less preventive interventions than the majority members of a community. While our health system should improve its efforts at addressing and reducing disproportionality in health care, African Americans can make behavioral changes through diet and exercise that will reduce their susceptibility to chronic illnesses. This article first reviews the prevalence, disparities, and characteristics of chronic diseases impacting the African American population. Second, it discusses culturally connected practices …
