Background: Radiotherapy and chemotherapy are used in breast cancer, but they cause an array of adverse effects including dermatological changes and vomiting. Objective: The objective of the study was to examine whether Usual Care (UC) plus pre-defined homoeopathic remedies can produce different effect beyond UC plus placebo in dermatological adverse effects of radiotherapy and vomiting of chemotherapy in breast carcinoma. Background: Anaemia in children has significant adverse health consequences and is a major public health problem. Objective: The objective of this study is to identify efficacy of Ferrum phosphoricum 3X (FP) and Ferrum metallicum 3X (FM) in changing haemoglobin (Hb) levels in school-going children, 12–14 years of age with Iron Deficiency Anaemia (IDA). Background: Prospective assessment of homoeopathic symptoms is different from eliciting symptoms in daily practice. In prognostic factor research, we apply symptom questionnaires with Likert scales to assess symptoms in different intensities. In former research, we tested a 5-point Likert scale, which rendered a rather high prevalence for some symptoms even the strongest intensity, not useful in daily practice. A longer, 7-point Likert scale might render more useful outcome. Objective: To study if a longer Likert scale perform better in homoeopathic prognostic factor research. Background: Polar symptoms represent the most challenging rubrics in the homoeopathic repertories, despite their frequent use. Objective: The study objective was to assess the relationship between 27 polar cough symptoms, 3 non-polar cough symptoms and 30 general polar symptoms and successful response to specific homoeopathic medicines. Management Of Post-Intubation Subglottic Stenosis With Individualised Homoeopathic Therapy: A Case Report, Shelly Sharma, Seema Mahesh, George Vithoulkas

Introduction: Subglottic stenosis is a narrowing of the airway just below the vocal cords. This narrowing can cause serious breathing difficulties. Subglottic stenosis can be congenital or acquired. Frequent or long-term intubation is the most common cause of acquired subglottic stenosis. Case Summary: In this case report, adjuvant homoeopathic treatment helped prevent tracheal stent implantation surgery, otherwise deemed necessary in such a state and improved the overall general state. This case report gives ground to further investigate the extent to which individualised Homoeopathy may be applied in postintubation subglottic stenosis.

Introduction: Nodular episcleritis (NE) is a variety of episcleritis characterised by inflammation of subconjunctival connective tissue leading to development of a localised raised congested nodule with mild pain and tenderness. It can last for weeks with a tendency to recur and is often considered as an allergic reaction to endogenous toxins. Conventional treatment includes the use of topical steroids and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs which give a temporary relief. Clinacanthus nutans (Acanthaceae), locally known as Sabah snake grass, is popularly taken as prevention as well as treatment for cancer in Malaysia, despite lack of concrete clinical evidence. However, it is crucial to evaluate potential antagonistic, additive, or synergistic interactions that may result from the co-treatment of this plant in chemotherapy. In this study, we demonstrate the drug-herb interaction using combination treatment of C. nutans extracts and cyclophosphamide on the WRL 68 cell line. Toothpaste is an oral health care agent that dates back to the 5th Century B.C. in East Asia. Following the conception of dentistry in the 7th Century B.C. and the field’s subsequent growth, the embodiment of toothpaste has evolved from containing natural substances such as tea leaves to abrasive chemicals, particularly: fluoride, triclosan, and sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). Regarding how each respective reagent functions, fluoride forms a complex with calcium ions in the teeth to prevent erosion of the protective enamel coating. Mindfulness practices, in general, have a growing body of evidence of effectiveness for improving both physical health and mental health. Further, these practices are showing promise when implemented with military populations for mental health issues such as PTSD. Challenges arise for practitioners in understanding the military's cultural differences and the functional aspects of mindfulness that may be specifically useful to military members. We outline strategies for referring military members to quality services and instruction, as well as best practices for connecting with military clients. Recommendations are made for further research with female service members and using single case design.

Background: Results from large homoeoprophylaxis (HP) interventions support the effectiveness of HP, but their variable methodology means that meaningful summaries of the combined data are difficult to produce. Objective: The aim of this article is to develop possible ways of standardising and improving the quality of data from HP interventions. Methods: Evidence collected from some large HP interventions is summarised. A previously suggested pre- and post-intervention checklist intended to help standardise the evidence from HP interventions is critically examined. Over the past 30 years, medical interventions in pregnancy and childbirth have increased. Some pregnant women seek less invasive and nonpharmacological options to manage discomforts during labor. While exercise during pregnancy is recommended, less is known about exercise, specifically dancing, during labor. While anecdotal evidence is supportive, little is known about the implications of exercise and dance during the first stage of labor for pain reduction and labor progression. Objective: Present a pair of clinical cases demonstrating the utilization of regional interdependent (RI) evaluation and treatment in an apparent lateral ankle sprain. The utilization of both Positional Release Therapy (PRT) and Mulligan Concept (MC) on secondary school athletes with an apparent acute lateral ankle sprain are presented. Background: Lateral ankle sprains are a common injury in athletics. While the MC has been shown to be an effective manual therapy in ankle sprains, if the treatment is not pain-free it is considered not warranted. Background: High-diluted homoeopathic medicines practically contain no medicinal molecules. The disease-curing mechanism of homoeopathic medicines has not yet been adequately understood. Acceptable knowledge of this mechanism is essential for further development of homoeopathic science. Objectives: The purpose of this article is to provide a phenomenological model to understand the interaction mechanism between homoeopathic medicines and the diseased cell (DC), which cure diseases with a view to build a conceptual framework that would facilitate subsequent clinical and theoretical investigations. Introduction: Chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) is a clonal myeloproliferative disorder of haematopoietic stem cell. Case Summary: This is a case of a 28-year-old female having CML for 1½ years, on regular allopathic medication. The patient was suffering from ulceration in the oral cavity, frequent offensive loose stools with melena and prolonged menstrual cycle with heavy bleeding for 3 weeks. After analysing the constitutional make-up of the patient, Platinum metallicum 200C was prescribed. Introduction: Cholelithiasis or gallstone disease is a very common problem worldwide. The prevalence is more in females than males. Although cholecystectomy is considered the gold standard treatment for symptomatic cholelithiasis, it has its own limitations, risks and post-operative complications. Here, an alternative system of medicine, especially Homoeopathy, plays an important role in treating cholelithiasis.
