Banana (Musa spp.) is an important horticultural plant with a high variety in Indonesia; yet, knowledge on the morphological characteristics of indigenous bananas in East Java remains inadequate. This research aims to identify the variation and classify banana cultivars in East Java based on morphological character. The exploration was conducted using the accidental sampling method. The observations include 15 qualitative and 9 quantitative characters. Descriptive statistics were used to evaluate the data, followed by cluster analysis using the average linkage method and Euclidean distance. Banana plants are a vital agricultural commodity in Indonesia, but Fusarium wilt disease (Fusarium oxysporum) significantly hampers production. This research aims to improve the quality and resilience of vegetative banana seedlings by selecting superior seedlings and vegetative propagation techniques such as budding, shoot cutting, and tissue culture management. The research used a randomized complete block design (RCBD) factorial with a combination of two factors, namely the addition of IBA and biological agents, with nine treatment combinations and three replications. Perbanyakan tanaman pisang secara konvensional dengan menggunakan bonggol atau anakan (sucker) secara terus menerus dapat menurunkan kualitas dan memerlukan waktu lama serta meningkatkan terjadinya serangan penyakit. Oleh karena itu, suatu upaya untuk menghasilkan bibit yang memiliki kualitas baik dalam waktu yang cepat dapat menggunakan kultur in vitro. Percobaan ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh laju multiplikasi yang tinggi dengan penggunaan salah satu jenis dan konsentrasi sitokinin pada kultur in vitro tanaman pisang kepok kuning.
