Status gizi merupakan ukuran keberhasilan dalam pemenuhan nutrisi anak yang diukur berdasarkan berat badan dan tinggi badan anak. Data status gizi pada anak usia umur 5-12 tahun di DKI Jakarta menunjukkan underweight 14,0%, stunting 22,7%, wasting 9,9%, dan overweight 6,8%. Data secara spesifik untuk wilayah Jakarta Selatan adalah underweight 7,4%, stunting 17,8%, wasting 6,3%, dan overweight 7,3%. Dari data tersebut didapatkan gambaran mengenai permasalahan gizi yang terjadi di DKI Jakarta. Permasalahan gizi memiliki dampak pada tumbuh kembang anak. Pada tahun 2015, sebanyak 65% dari total kelahiran mati diseluruh dunia disumbang oleh sepuluh negara dengan jumlah kelahiran mati terbanyak. Indonesia menempati posisi ke-8 dengan total sebanyak 73.400 kejadian dengan angka lahir mati (stillbirth rate/SBR) sebesar 13 per 1.000 kelahiran. Rural communities are disproportionally affected by food insecurity, making them vulnerable to the consequences of supply disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. While access to food was initially diminished due to food supply disruptions, little is known about the mechanisms through which federal emergency assistance programs impacted food access in rural populations. Through a series of five focus groups in spring 2021, we examined the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on food access in a rural Appalachian community in Kentucky. Sugar-sweetened beverage (SSB) consumption is decreasing nationally, yet intakes remain high in certain sub-populations as new varieties of SSBs are introduced. This study aims to expand on SSB intake patterns among adults living in Appalachia to develop policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) interventions to reduce consumption. Baseline cohort surveys were conducted to examine beverage consumption patterns of adults in one rural Appalachian county in Kentucky using a validated BEVQ-15 instrument. This study aims to apply the positive deviance concept to explore the factors determining the success of exclusive breastfeeding among mothers in a high-risk group in Indonesia. The study used the cross-sectional, DHS 2017 data of 1.178 mothers with 0-5 months old infants in Indonesia. Research has suggested that availability of healthful food varies according to rurality/urbanicity, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participation, and sociodemographic variables. We investigated differences in variety and cost of fruits and vegetables in convenience stores, grocery stores, and supermarkets across Mississippi. We collected data using the Nutrition Environment Measures Survey–Corner Store. Among stores surveyed (n = 453), fruit and vegetable variety was greater in nonmetro versus metro areas for convenience and grocery stores but not supermarkets. This study compared the associated factors among overweight and underweight of women in reproductive age (WRA) in rural Ciampea Sub-district, Bogor, West Java. Wasting is a form of acute malnutrition characterized by significant and rapid weight loss resulting from inadequate food intake and infectious diseases. Plasmalogens are important phospholipids essential for maintaining cardiovascular and brain health. Ruminant meats are excellent dietary sources of plasmalogens. Globally, grilling remains a popular technique for preparing meats. However, little is known concerning how marination affects retention and quality of plasmalogens in grilled ruminant meats. Here we present information on effect of two unfiltered beer-based marinades infused with herbs and spices on plasmalogens in grilled beef and moose meats.
