In the micropropagation of difficult-to-root plants, the low rates of rooting cause high economic losses. The local apple (Malus domestica Borkh.) cultivar #67, which is highly resistant to fire blight disease, has been shown to have low rooting success. Nanoparticles loaded with auxins could increase the rooting success with their physicochemical properties. Alfalfa is a fodder crop that accounts for one of the best sources of protein and is widely cultivated around the world. In vitro regeneration of alfalfa has been studied earlier; however, most of the studies were almost intervened with callus formation. In this study, 3 explant sources (cotyledonary node, hypocotyl, and root crown) of two Turkish cultivars (Nimet and Savaş) were excised from young seedlings. Clones of Eucalyptus grandis × nitens and E. grandis × urophylla were subjected to various culture conditions at every culture stage leading to plantlet regeneration directly from axillary buds. The objective was to determine the possibility of using the same protocol for all clones. Although genotypic effects were evident, generally most clones responded similarly to the tested variations in each of the protocol stages, i.e. bud break, multiplication, and rooting. Iron (Fe) deficiency is one of the common problems in strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa Duch.) growing regions. In vitro screening enables researchers to evaluate genotype performance under several concentrations of Fe in a relatively fast and economical way. Therefore, we evaluated the responses of several genotypes belonging to octoploid Fragaria chiloensis (L.) Mill. and Fragaria virginiana Mill. In vitro morphogenesis of Cucumis melo var. flexuosus (L.) Naudin was studied by direct organogenesis. Induction of adventitious buds was obtained from distal and proximal parts of the cotyledon incubated on Murashige and Skoog (1962) medium containing different concentrations of 6-benzyladenine (BA) (0.0, 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0 mg L^{-1}) and indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) (0.0, 0.1, and 0.5 mg L^{-1}). The best organogenesis was obtained from the proximal part of the cotyledon on medium containing 0.5 mg L^{-1} BA and 0.5 mg L^{-1} IAA (88%). This concentration was used for histological analysis. Three newly selected superior banana types were used to study the effects of different cytokinin and auxins on shoot multiplication and rooting. Benzylaminopurine [(BAP) (5, 10, 20 and 30 µM)] and thidiazuron [(TDZ) (0.4, 1, 2 and 3 µM)] were tested alone and with 1 µM indoleacetic acid (IAA) for the propagation stage. We compared basal Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium, active charcoal (5 g l^{-1}), indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) and naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) for rooting. In this study, the effects of different sucrose, BAP and Kinetin concentrations in MS medium on plantlet formation, bud formation on the plantlets and development of embryos isolated from the seeds of Tilia platyphyllos under in vitro conditions were investigated. In addition, the effects of different culture times on the development of embryos and plantlet formation were studied. The results indicated that the cultured embryos on the media supplemented with sucrose (10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 g/l) developed plantlets with epicotyls and roots.
