The objective of this paper was to determine the effects of rapeseed genotype and nitrogen fertilization for dual purposes, i.e., on seed yield for human consumption and on the quantitative and qualitative value of harvested residues as feedstock to produce heat energy. The research was carried out in field trials set up under the agroecological conditions of northwestern Croatia at the University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Agriculture in the vegetation periods of 2012/2013 and 2013/2014.
