Objective: This study aimed to optimize the extraction process of Porphyra haitanensis polyphenols to develop natural hypoglycemic foods. Methods: The Box-Behnken response surface method was used to optimize the extraction process of P. haitanensis polyphenols. The α-glucosidase inhibition activity was applied to evaluate the hypoglycemic activity of P. haitanensis polyphenols at different harvest periods, and the antioxidant activities of them were evaluated based on DPPH, ABTS+ radical scavenging rate and ORAC value. Optimization Of Ultrasonic-Assisted Extraction For Polyphenols From Perilla Leaves By Polyethylene Glycol And Its Antioxidant Activity, Qiao-Mei Ru, Guo-Ping Ren, Qiong Hu

On the basis of single factor experiment, the concentration of polyethylene glycol, liquid/solid ratio, ultrasonic power and extraction time were optimized by Box-Behnken response surface analysis. Result: The results showed that the optimal extraction conditions were concentration of polyethylene glycol 68%, liquid/solid ratio 46∶1 (mL/g), ultrasonic power 157 W and extraction time 67 min. Under these conditions, the yield of polyphenols from perilla leaves reached 18.38 mg GAE/g·DW, while the predicted value was 18.21 mg GAE/g·DW, and the accuracy of the model reached 99.08%. Response surface methodology (RSM) based on Box Behnken Design (BBD) was employed to optimize the extraction conditions including the liquid-to-solid ratio, ultrasonic time, ethanol concentration and extraction time. The optimized conditions were as follows: liquid-to-solid ratio 1∶22 (g/mL), ultrasonic time 3 min, ethanol concentration 80% and extraction time 78 min. Under these conditions, the experimental yield of lignans and polyphenol were 44.89 mg/g, 48.17 mg/g, respectively.

Taking the mung bean sprouts after drying as raw materials, the changes in the extraction amount, antioxidant activity and physical properties of mung bean sprouts polyphenols after airflow ultrafine crushing treatment were compared. The results show that the best conditions for ultrafine pulverization of air flow were as followed: pressure 0.5 MPa and speed 5 000 r/min. Compared with conventional crushing, the extraction of mung bean sprouts polyphenols increased by 10.74%. Evaluation Of The Brewing Effect Of Ultrafine Green Tea Powder By Simulated In Vitro Digestion, Yao Zhou, Hua-Rong Tong

The release of various substances before and after in vitro di-gestion of ultrafine green tea powder was measured.The results showed that the release of free amino acids, total phenols, total flavones and most catechins declined during the in vitro digestion of ultrafine green tea powder; caffeine remained un-changed; The release of soluble protein, gallic acid, catechin gallate, gal-locatechin, gallocatechin gallate, and isoquercetin increased. The non-extractable polyphenols were released. Brewing and drinking ultrafine green tea powder are beneficial to improve the comprehensive utilization of tea by the human body.

In this study, the optimum extraction parameters of polyphenols from leaves of Boehmeria nivea var. tenacissima were optimized, and the antioxidant activity of polyphenols from ramie leaves was evaluated by using gallic acid as a control. Results of polyphenols extraction experiment showed that the ultrasonic power and ultrasonic time have less effect on the amount of polyphenols extraction, and the influence of three factors on polyphenols extraction was ordered as: ethanol concentration (significantly)> extraction temperature > solid-liquid ratio. In this study, the ideal adsorbent for Dendrobium hu-oshanense polyphenols were obtained, after the comparison test for the adsorption-desorption properties of different types of resins. The purification parameters were optimized by adsorption and desorption tests. The antioxidant activities of polyphenols were evaluated in vitro. The results showed that AB-8 macroporous resin was considered as suitable material for purifying and separating Dendrobium huoshanense polyphenols.And the macroporous resin reached equilibrium within 150 min. In this study, ultrasound-assisted extraction of polyphenols from paeonia ostii oil peony seeds was used. On the basis of a single factor test, the material-liquid ratio, ultrasonic time, extraction temperature and ultrasonic power were set as independent variables, and the polyphenol yield was response value, optimize the extraction process of peony seed polyphenols by Box-Behnken response surface method. The extraction of polyphenols from the branches of Magnolia kwangsiensis figlar & noot. (M. kwangsiensis) was studied by ultrasonic-assisted extraction. The extraction condition was optimized by response surface methodology. The antioxidant activities of M. kwangsiensis branch polyphenols were evaluated in aspect of total antioxidant activity, DPPH· scavenging activity and ·OH scavenging effect. Results showed the optimum conditions were acetone concentration 67%, liquid-solid ratio 22 (mL/g), extraction time 20 min, and the yield of polyphenols reached 1.45%. The polyphenols from the branches of M. kwangsiensis had certain total antioxidant activity, but had good scavenging effects on DPPH· and ·OH.

In this study, polyphenols from Durian hull were extracted by 80% methanol, and their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities were investigated based on in vitro antioxidant assays and LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells model. The results demonstrated that durian hull extract was rich in polyphenols, it showed strong antioxidant activity in vitro and it could reduce the expression level of inducible nitricoxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), decrease the NO production, and also lower the pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6) at the mRNA and protein levels. To reveal the changes in microbiota community structure and antioxidant activity of polyphenols from litchi pericarp during culture with human fecal microbiota, litchi pericarp polyphenols were added into the mixed medium of intestinal microbiota solution prepared from fresh feces of healthy volunteers for the anaerobic culture in vitro. The total phenol content and antioxidant activities were measured at 0, 4, 8, 12, 24 and 48 h. The change of intestinal microbiota was analyzed by high-throughput sequencing. In order to investigate the antioxidation and antibacterial effect of polyphenols from Lyophyllum Cinoraseens Konr & Maubl, crude polyphenols after ultrasonic-assisted ethanol extraction purified polyphenols with macroporous resin were used as raw materials to study the scavenging effect for ·OH, O · and DPPH· and antibacterial effect by the filter paper disc method.
