A New Epigean Pseudoscorpion Species (Pseudoscorpiones: Neobisiidae) From Northeast Of Iran, With An Identification Key To The Species Of The Family Neobisiidae From Iran, Zahra Latifi, Mahrad Nassirkhani, Omid Mirshamsi

Turkish Journal of Zoology

A new epigean species? Roncus khorasanicus sp.n.-is described on the basis of the description of the adult stage (males) found in north-eastern Iran. A detailed description of the selected morphological characters and accurate illustrations of several diagnostic characters of the new species are provided. Moreover, an identification key to the species of the family Neobisiidae from Iran is presented.

Despite the increasing importance of species richness of blowfly fauna and their environmental, medical, and agricultural importance in the world they are poorly studied in Turkey. This study was carried out in 2014 and 2015 to determine the distribution, abundance, and species richness of blowfly species in Isparta Province of Turkey. A total of 15 species (10 from Calliphoridae, 4 from Polleniidae, and 1 from Rhiniidae) were identified from 13 different localities. This study was performed in order to determine the Braconidae fauna of meadows and forest areas around Gala Lake National Park. Samples were collected from June to October 2011 in selected pasture, forest, and rice agricultural areas. As a result of the study, a total of 38 taxa species belonging to 12 genera within 5 subfamilies were identified. In this paper, samples of mosses and lichens collected from Bory Tucholskie National Park, Zaborski Landscape Park, and their surroundings (Pomerania Province, northern Poland) were studied for water bears (Tardigrada). In total, 38 tardigrade taxa were identified and six of them (Hypsibius cf. allisoni, Hyp. scabropygus, Macrobiotus sottilei, Milnesium beasleyi, Mil. dornensis, and Mil. granulatum) are new records for the Polish fauna. Eighteen taxa (only 14 identified to the species level) were found in Bory Tucholskie National Park, whereas in Zaborski Landscape Park this number was much larger, i.e. 28 taxa (including 22 identified to the species level), as well …

Hersiliola artemisiae sp. nov. is described from central and south-central regions of Iran. In addition, the male of Duninia rheimsae Marusik & Fet, 2009 is described for the first time and compared with two other congeners, D. darvishi Mirshamsi & Marusik, 2013 and D. baehrae Marusik & Fet, 2009.

New Data On Hahnia C.L. Koch, 1841 From Crimea (Aranei: Hahniidae), Mykola Kovblyuk, Zoya Kastrygina, Yuri Marusik

Turkish Journal of Zoology

Four species of Hahnia are recorded from Crimea: H. helveola Simon, 1875; H. nava (Blackwall, 1841); H. ononidum Simon, 1875; and H. pusilla C.L. Koch, 1841. Two species, namely H. ononidum and H. pusilla, are recorded from Crimea for the first time. Crimea is the easternmost point of the known range for H. helveola. Illustrations, diagnoses, distribution data, habitats, and seasonal dynamics of activity are presented.

In this study, a group of specimens from the family Geometridae preserved in the Nazife Tuatay Plant Protection Museum is examined. The specimens were originally collected from Ordu, Turkey. As a result of this work, two new records for the Geometridae fauna of Turkey, namely Asthena anseraria (Herrich-Schaffer, [1855]) and Eupithecia selinata Herrich-Schaeffer, 1861 are given. Adult and genitalia figures of the species are presented.

A faunistic survey of the genera Bracon Fabricius, 1804 and Habrobracon Ashmead, 1895 was carried out in some parts of northern (Guilan Province), northeastern (North Khorasan Province), eastern (Khorasan-e Razavi and Sistan-o Baluchestan provinces), south-central (Kerman Province), central (Isfahan Province), and western (Kermanshah Province) Iran during 2011-2014. Sampling was done in various agroecosystems and rangelands. In this paper, Eupithecia opistographata Dietze, 1906 is reported as new for the fauna of Turkey, and three rare species (E. brunneata Staudinger, 1900; E. dearmata Dietze, 1904; and E. marasa Wehrli, 1932) are presented as second records on the basis of specimens collected in the mountainous areas of Siirt Province and Şirvan District, southeastern Turkey. This study was carried out to contribute to the Pediciidae (Diptera) fauna in Afyonkarahisar, Balıkesir, Bilecik, Bursa, Çanakkale, Eskişehir, Kırklareli, Kütahya, Kocaeli, Sakarya, and Uşak provinces of Turkey between 2008 and 2014. It was reported that 12 pediciid species belonging to 4 genera have been recorded in Turkey. Six of these species were recorded for the first time for the Turkish Pediciidae fauna. Fruit Flies (Diptera: Tephritidae) Fauna In Nevşehir And Niğdeprovinces With A New Record From Turkey, Mehmet Yaran, Murat Kütük

This study was based on fruit flies collected from Nevşehir and Niğde provinces in spring and summer of 2012-2013 in Turkey. During the study, samples were collected from host plants randomly or systematically by using an insect net. In the study, 59 species belonging to 17 genera from 4 subfamilies have been determined, and Urophora trinervii (Korneyev and White, 1996) has been recorded for the first time in Turkey. In addition, adult figures of the new record and wing figures of all species are given.

A new harvestman species of the genus Mediostoma Kratochvíl, 1958, Mediostoma izmirica sp. nov., is described and illustrated based on males and females from İzmir Province, Turkey. Differences between the new species and other species of the genus Mediostoma are indicated. Scanning electron microscope photographs of its characteristic structures are also given.

This study is based upon material of the subfamily Agathidinae collected from different localities in the Central Anatolia Region of Turkey from 1988 to 2008. This present contribution is based upon the ichneumonids collected from the northeastern Anatolian part of Turkey in 2014. A total of 57 species belonging to subfamilies Acaenitinae, Anomaloninae, Banchinae, Campopleginae, Cremastinae, Cryptinae, Diplazontinae, Ichneumoninae, Metopiinae, Orthocentrinae, Oxytorinae, Pimplinae, and Tryphoninae have been recorded. In this study, fourteen species and subspecies in six genera of the family Chrysididae are listed from Hormozgan Province of Iran. Among them, Hedychridium femoratum (Dahlbom, 1854); Hedychridium virescens (du Buysson, 1908); Hedychridium verhoeffi Linsenmaier, 1959; Holopyga arabica Linsenmaier, 1994; Holopyga vicissituda Linsenmaier, 1994; Spintharina dubai Bohart, 1987; S. In order to study the fauna of Rogadinae (Hym., Braconidae) of Turkey, adult specimens were collected from different habitats of the provinces of Ardahan, Erzurum, Iğdır, Kars, and Muş (partially) in the northeastern Anatolian region of Turkey between 2011 and 2014. Twelve Oak Gall Wasp Species (Hymenoptera, Cynipidae) New To The Turkish Fauna, Serap Mutun, Serdar Di̇nç

This study was conducted to contribute to the Turkish oak gall wasp fauna (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae). Oak cynipid galls were collected between 2011 and 2013 from different regions of Turkey; we found that Andricus assarehi, A. Coriariformis, A. Csokai, A. Glandulae, Andricus legitimus, A. Paradoxus, A. Sadeghii, A. Serotinus, A. Stellatus, A. Trotteri, Cynips longiventris, and Trigonaspis megaptera were new to the Turkish Cynipidae fauna. A new distribution range is also provided for the previously recorded gall wasp species Andricus pseudoaries.

Because of the lack of data on the mite fauna in marsh habitats of Turkey, this faunistic study was conducted in the Ekşisu Marshes, which resulted in collecting and determining 58 species and 36 genera belonging to 29 families. Interstitial and phytal harpacticoid fauna of the mediolittoral zone of the Dilek Peninsula within the border of Aydın Province in Turkey was investigated. Harpacticoid copepods were collected from 7 different localities between 2012 and 2013. As a result, a total of 78 species and subspecies belonging to 48 genera in 18 families were determined. Contribution To The Knowledge Of The Cydnidae(Hemiptera, Heteroptera, Pentatomoidea) Fauna Of Turkey, Gülten Yazici, Yunus Avar, Erol Yildirim

This study is based upon material of the family Cydnidae collected from different localities in Turkey between 1980 and 2012. A total of 13 species of 7 genera belonging to 2 subfamilies, Cydninae and Sehrinae, of the family Cydnidae were recorded from Turkey. Among them, Cydnus aterrimus (Forster, 1771), Macroscytus brunneus (Fabricius, 1803), Canthophorus dubius (Scopoli, 1763), and Tritomegas sexmaculatus (Rambur, 1839) have been found to be the most abundant and widespread species. Separately, Legnotus picipes (Fallén, 1807) is a new record for the Turkish fauna. In addition, new localities are added for some species previously reported for Turkey.

Forty-seven species belonging to 7 genera of Alticini are presented based on the investigations conducted on Davraz Mountain (Isparta). Host plant relationships of 24 species established from the area are listed. Brassicaceae, Scrophulariaceae, and Lamiaceae seem to be the most preferred host plant families among others. Three species from the genus Longitarsus Berthold - namely L. baeticus Leonardi, 1979; L. foudrasi Weise, 1893; and L. tabidus (Fabricius, 1775) - were sampled only from 1900 m and above on the mountain. Five gall midge species were identified as new records for the fauna of Iran from the Joghatay region of Razavi Khorasan Province, NE Iran. These species are Campylomyza flavipes Meigen, 1818 (Micromyinae); Micromya lucorum Rondani, 1840 (Micromyinae); Rabdophaga salicis (Schrank, 1803) (Cecidomyiinae); Rhopalomyia efremovi Fedotova, 1999 (Cecidomyiinae); and Rhopalomyia monogynasphaera Fedotova, 1999 (Cecidomyiinae). As many parts of the country have not been studied in terms of Cecidomyiidae fauna, the gall midge fauna of Iran will be increased considerably with further research.

One genus and 3 species are reported as new records for the fauna of Iran. They are Eriophyes tiliae (Nalepa, 1890) on Tilia begonifolia (Tiliaceae); Aceria tuberculatus Nalepa, 1891 on Tanacetum parthenium (Asteraceae); and Leipothrix liroi (Roiv., 1947) Jocic and Petanovic (2012) on Primula sp. (Primulaceae).
