Turkish Journal of Zoology

Aspects of the ecology, karyology, and taxonomic status of the Egyptian fruit bat, Rousettus aegyptiacus, in the Mediterranean region of Turkey were investigated based on 41 specimens obtained between 1977 and 2003. Turkish Journal of Zoology

Rotifera species collected from a pool (Çeltikli village, Bismil, Diyarbakır) 22 km from Bismil to Batman were surveyed taxonomically. Eighteen rotifer species were identified. Two of these species, Sinantherina semibullata (Thorpe, 1889) and Cephalodella megalocephala (Glasscott), 1893, as well as the genus Sinantherina Bory de St. Vincent, 1826, are new records for the Turkish rotifer fauna.
