There is no more serious question confronting .the Nebraska farmer today than the oat problem. During the past few years, farmers generally believe they have lost money on the crop. It is necessary to grow some spring grain crop, and while many are looking for a substitute, such as barley, speltz, and spring wheat, yet none of these crops takes the place of oats in a satisfactory manner.
