Student paper titled “Folk Agricultural Tools” in whichDanny Johnson offers insight into the types of implements used on farms during the pre-industrial period. Johnson narrows his scope even more to the types of tools used during the planting and harvesting processes and describes which tools are best suited for the task at hand. Included in his paper are brief biographies of each informant and color photographs of various pieces of equipment and descriptions of their use.
