The use of electronic money shows positive developments, but is not accompanied by the development of regulations that provide legal protection to its users, especially with regard to the loss of electronic money. The problem in this study is how the legal protection for electronic money deposits and how the form of protection for electronic money deposits in the future so as to ensure the safe use of electronic money. Indonesian Journal of International Law
The Indonesian Fisheries Law has determined criminal threats for perpetrators of illegal fishing in the ZEEI. In practice, there are differences in the application of imprisonment instead of fines for Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals who do illegal fishing. Such differences create injustice for Indonesian citizens. The results of the study indicate that criminal law policies in the field of fisheries need to be based on justice, in the sense of equality before the law. Foreign nationals who catch illegal fishing in the ZEEI are subject to imprisonment instead of a fine, while foreign nationals are not. Therefore, the Fisheries …

In 2014, Indonesia implemented measures relating to the importation of horticultural products, animals and animal products which were seen as a trade barrier in the form of quantitative restrictions imposed through the import licensing system. This article analyze whether the panel and appellate body decision in the case of Indonesia - Importation of Horticultural Products, Animals and Animal Products is in accordance with the provisions contained in the WTO legal framework. Indonesia’s policies cannot be justified under WTO legal framework, though there are some exceptions of the quantitative restriction provision.

Criminalizing Starvation In An Age Of Mass Deprivation In War: Intent, Method, Form, And Consequence, Tom Dannenbaum

Mass starvation in war is resurgent. Across a range of conflicts, belligerents have attacked farmers and humanitarian workers; destroyed, looted, or rendered unusable food and food sources; and cut off besieged populations from the external supply of essential goods. Millions have been left in famine or on the brink thereof. Increasingly, this has elicited calls for accountability. However, traditional criminal categories are not promising in this respect. The situation and nature of objects indispensable to survival is such that they typically provide sustenance to both civilians and combatants; the conduct that deprives people of those objects often involves acting on …
