During recent years several detailed investigations have been made concerning the proper design of domestic gas burners but there seems to be a need for information as to the performance of the burner when used in the modern gas range. Fortunately gas equipment must pass a set of exacting tests performed in the American Gas Association Testing Laboratory before being placed on the market as approved equipment, but as is emphasized in the preface of the A.
