Research On Completion Method For Trajectory Based On Image Representation And Collaborative Feature Perception, Ye Tao, Jinhui Tang, Chen Zhou, Chong Wang

Journal of System Simulation

To address the constraints imposed by missing trajectory data in surveillance systems on the efficacy of civil aviation safety monitoring, as well as the limitations on the development and application of advanced technologies within trajectory-based operational frameworks, a completion method for trajectory based on image representation and collaborative feature perception was proposed. A conversion strategy for trajectory image representation was designed to reformulate the trajectory completion task as a deterministic image completion problem, effectively circumventing the cumulative error problem of traditional time-series data caused by the limitation of recurrent neural network inference mechanisms.A regression model fusing a multi-kernel hybrid …

Robot Trajectory Planning And Adjustment Method For Abnormal Pose Of Actuator, Lang Qin, Jiacheng Xie, Xiaojun Qiao, Xuewen Wang, Zhijie Xiao

Journal of System Simulation

To address the influence of the abnormal pose of the robot actuator on the robot trajectory, an adaptive planning and adjustment method of trajectory based on virtual-real fusion was proposed. AR technology was introduced to couple with the robot kinematics model, and the hardware dependence on multiple sensors was replaced by synchronous comparison of three-dimensional virtual and real poses; AR gestures and voice interaction were combined to simplify the operation process; based on the actual pose of the actuator, the trajectory of the robot terminal axis was dynamically adjusted. The experimental results show that this method breaks through the technical …

Hyperspectral Anomaly Detection Algorithm Based On Window Reconstruction And Collaborative Representation, Shuanghao Fan, Fang He, Jianwei Zhao, Haojie Hu, Fengchao Zhu, Xiangyang Li

Journal of System Simulation

Hyperspectral anomaly detection refers to identifying ground objects that deviate from normal background distributions and have low probability and small scales from scenes involving mixed multi- class ground objects, spectral feature overlaps, and noise interference. This technology has received extensive attention in recent years. Although collaborative representation-based anomaly detection algorithms demonstrate excellent performance in hyperspectral image anomaly detection, their time costs are too high to enable widespread application. To address this issue, this paper proposes a hyperspectral image anomaly detection algorithm based on window reconstruction and collaborative representation, which consists of two stages. Window reconstruction is performed on hyperspectral background …

Modeling Of Penicillin Fermentation Process Based On A Multi-Stage Lhs-Eprcc Method, Quan Li, Peng Su, Haiying Wan, Chengxi Zhang, Zhijian He, Yiyang Ni

Journal of System Simulation

This paper focused on the modeling of microbial fermentation processes under varying production environments and proposed a novel approach. Considering that the dynamic characteristics of microorganism s differ across growth stages, we introduced the concept of multi-stage sensitivity analysis, in which each stage was investigated separately. The fuzzy C-means (FCM) algorithm was employed to cluster process data under nominal conditions, thereby dividing the penicillin fermentation process into distinct growth stages. Based on this division, the Latin hypercube sampling with partial rank correlation coefficient (LHS-EPRCC) method was applied to conduct sensitivity analysis for each stage, identifying an importance parameter set (IPS) …

Multi-Level Digital Model Of Dynamic Earned Value Management For Complex Engineering Projects And Its Applications, Wei Wang, Dong Liu, Xinhao Cui, Bo Li, Yiyong Xiao, Yi Ren

Journal of System Simulation

The economic management of existing engineering projects is usually based on organizational structure, which presents problems such as complex processes and difficulty in clarifying main responsibilities when applied to complex engineering projects. In response to this limitation, a multi-level digital model of dynamic earned value management is proposed for complex engineering projects, which extends the traditional cost performance indicators to engineering resource utility indicators, thereby decomposing the earned value of costs into segmented earned values of different engineering resources. This enables managers to dynamically supervise projects based on traditional "schedule-cost" performance indicators and carry out more refined cost control …

Hierarchical Motion Planning Of Mobile Robot Based On Dynamic Corridor Inflation And Convex Optimization, Dingkun Zhang, Haizhao Liang May 2026

Hierarchical Motion Planning Of Mobile Robot Based On Dynamic Corridor Inflation And Convex Optimization, Dingkun Zhang, Haizhao Liang

Journal of System Simulation

Motion planning for robots with Ackermann chassis in dynamic complex environments faces nonholonomic constraints and kinematic-dynamic coupling challenges. However, traditional methods suffer from path redundancy, random fluctuations, and local optimality. A hierarchical motion planning method based on dynamic corridor inflation and convex optimization is proposed. Topologically sparse paths are generated by fusing the Ramer-Douglas-Peucker (RDP) path compression operator with the A* algorithm to reduce redundant path points' interference with backend optimization. Dynamic corridor inflation strategies are designed considering Ackermann steering characteristics, and safe corridors satisfying kinematic constraints are constructed via convex decomposition. Corridor constraints are then transformed into linear inequalities …

Journal of System Simulation

To overcome the efficiency bottleneck of the traditional Newton-Raphson (NR)method in high- dimensional power flow calculations for modern power systems and the constraints of variational quantum algorithm frameworks, this paper proposed a power flow calculation framework integrating block encoding technology and adiabatic quantum computing principles. Based on block encoding technology, adiabatic quantum theory, and the NR method, a block-encoded adiabatic quantum power flow calculation framework (BQ-NR) was constructed. The NR correction equations were mapped to a quantum system, and the quantum state encoding of the correction equations was realized by constructing an extended Hermitian matrix and a projection operator; a …

An Analytical Framework For Quantifying Urban And Community Resilience To Natural Hazards From Cell-Phone Gps-Location And Traffic-Flow Data, Georgios Chatzikyriakidis May 2026

An Analytical Framework For Quantifying Urban And Community Resilience To Natural Hazards From Cell-Phone Gps-Location And Traffic-Flow Data, Georgios Chatzikyriakidis

Civil and Environmental Engineering Theses and Dissertations

Urban areas are increasingly exposed to natural hazards while accommodating a growing share of the global population, yet a consistent science-based framework for quantifying urban and community resilience remains lacking. This dissertation develops a physics-based analytical framework grounded in statistical mechanics and the quantitative theory of Brownian motion. A city is conceptualized as a complex medium in which citizens move analogously to Brownian particles within a viscoelastic environment, influenced by socioeconomic interactions and infrastructure functionality.

A central premise is that urban resilience, interpreted as engineering resilience (an outcome), can be quantified through a single metric: the mean-square displacement MSD=⟨r²(t)⟩, of …

Largest 2-Regular Subgraphs In Complete S-Partite Graphs, Yiyang Jiang May 2026

Largest 2-Regular Subgraphs In Complete S-Partite Graphs, Yiyang Jiang

McKelvey School of Engineering Graduate Student Theses & Dissertations

In this thesis, we focus on the class of complete $S$-partite graphs, for $S$ an undirected graph possibly with self-loops, and address the problem of finding largest $2$-regular subgraphs of these graphs, which can be formulated as an integer linear program. Roughly speaking, a complete $S$-partite graph is obtained by replacing every single node of $S$ with a number of nodes, preserving the edge/non-edge relations of $S$. Our motivation in studying largest $2$-regular subgraphs is rooted in the structural systems theory, particularly in the problem of finding largest subnetworks that can sustain controllability or asymptotic stability of the corresponding subsystems. …

Enhancing Control Charting Schemes And Exploring New Assessment Metrics To Advance Quality Control And Cyber-Attack Detection In Manufacturing, Ahmad Al Majali

Dissertations

The increasing integration of digital technologies and industrial control systems in modern manufacturing has introduced new cybersecurity vulnerabilities within cyber–physical production environments. Malicious actors can exploit these vulnerabilities to induce subtle process deviations that degrade product quality while remaining undetected by conventional statistical monitoring tools. Such attacks can be deliberately engineered to manipulate process behavior through transient shifts that vary in magnitude, duration, and frequency. Despite extensive research on transient shifts caused by assignable causes in Statistical Process Control (SPC), limited attention has been given to intelligently designed cyber–physical attacks that exploit the structural characteristics and limitations of control charting …

A Forecasting Framework For Distribution Center Capacity Utilization: An Applied Industry Study, Jordan J. Shortt May 2026

A Forecasting Framework For Distribution Center Capacity Utilization: An Applied Industry Study, Jordan J. Shortt

Data Science Undergraduate Honors Theses

This project develops and evaluates a predictive modeling framework for forecasting distribution center capacity utilization at Company Y, with monthly forecast horizons up to one year. Motivated by the operational challenges of seasonal demand volatility, promotional cycles, and the absence of a formally defined capacity metric, the study first constructs a historical capacity utilization measure from raw warehouse management system data — reconciling item volumes, location dimensions, and utilization factors across all DCs — which serves as the target variable for all modeling work. Four models are developed and evaluated against a naïve seasonal baseline: SARIMA, LightGBM, LSTM, and a …

This dissertation addresses the problem of predicting student persistence by developing and evaluating optimization based, interpretable classification models within the Logical Analysis of Data (LAD) framework. Building on existing LAD formulations, this research introduces two novel pattern generation models, the Best Term …

Decision Making For Large-Scale Problems Under Uncertainty And Conflict, Benjamin J. Hamlin May 2026

Decision Making For Large-Scale Problems Under Uncertainty And Conflict, Benjamin J. Hamlin

All Dissertations

Large-scale decision-making problems appear in many areas including long-range forecasting such as energy generation forecasting. Many such problems are subject to conflicting objectives and uncertain data, and can be modeled as linear optimization problems. We study novel theoretical results and algorithms for large-scale linear decision problems under conflict and uncertainty. First, we propose a parametric Benders decomposition algorithm for solving large-scale linear optimization problems with multiple objectives or deterministically uncertain objectives. Second, we extend the parametric Benders decomposition to a multi-stage setting, developing a parametric stochastic dual dynamic programming algorithm, which enables decision-making when conflicts and uncertainty have planning impacts …

Feasibility Study Of Transitioning From Thick Plates (0.250”) Mounted On 30-Point Pvc Carriers To Thinner Plate Technologies Mounted On Recyclable Foam And Pet (0.155”) For Post-Print Corrugated, Nathaniel J. Poole

All Theses

In the United States, the most common press configuration for brown-box printing is a 0.280” undercut press. These press configurations have long relied on thick 0.250” plates mounted on 0.030” PVC sheets to print onto corrugated substrates. Each year, around twenty million pounds of waste are produced by the printing industry, through paper waste, plate waste, among other materials. One large factor of that waste is flexographic plate waste, which either ends its life in a landfill or is repurposed into other products. This study establishes a comparison between traditionally used 0.250” plates on 30pt PVC versus 0.155” plates mounted …

Consistency-Based Computing Of Fuzzy Eigenvalues And Fuzzy Eigenvectors: Method And Application, Kamala. R. Aliyeva Prof., Nihad Mehdiyev, Shamil Mehdi

Chemical Technology, Control and Management

The computation of eigenvalues and eigenvectors under uncertainty is a fundamental problem in fuzzy linear algebra and decision analysis. When matrix elements are represented by fuzzy numbers, classical spectral methods cannot be directly applied due to nonlinearity, ambiguity in ordering, and the propagation of uncertainty. Moreover, in many practical applications, particularly those involving pairwise comparison matrices, the reliability of eigenvalue-based results strongly depends on the consistency of the underlying data. This paper proposes a consistency-based framework for computing fuzzy eigenvalues and fuzzy eigenvectors that explicitly integrates consistency analysis into the spectral derivation process. The proposed method preserves the fuzzy structure …
