An Interactive Information System For Tracking Student Academic Progress And For Projecting Quarterly Course Enrollments, Marilyn Sellers Khorsandi
An Interactive Information System For Tracking Student Academic Progress And For Projecting Quarterly Course Enrollments, Marilyn Sellers Khorsandi
Retrospective Theses and Dissertations
An interactive information system has been developed for the College of Engineering to promote faster and more accurate trial advisement interviews between professors and the students they advice. This system also provides departmental administrative personnel with information to guide course scheduling. The system has the capability of providing the following information concerning undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Engineering: 1. A student's academic progress toward graduation. 2. A projection for four quarters of enrollments in engineering core courses. 3. The current status of any course offered as a requirement for obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in one of the Engineering …

Rapeseed. 5. Harvesting Methods, M L. Poole
Rapeseed. 5. Harvesting Methods, M L. Poole
Journal of the Department of Agriculture, Western Australia, Series 4
IN Western Australia the warm dry spring and early summer allows rapeseed to be direct harvested when mature, whereas in most rapeseed-producing countries the crop must be swathed, allowed to mature in the windrow, and harvested with a pick-up combine.
Australian Tractor Test Report No. 58 : Massey-Ferguson 165, G H. Vasey, W. T. Brown
Australian Tractor Test Report No. 58 : Massey-Ferguson 165, G H. Vasey, W. T. Brown
Journal of the Department of Agriculture, Western Australia, Series 4
THE Massey-Ferguson 165 is a general purpose farm tractor. The test tractor gave 50 drawbar h.p. with 59 h.p. at the P.T.O. at rated engine speed it comes within Class 5 of the Australian Standard Classification of Wheeled Tractors for Agricultural Purposes, AS Dl 0-1967. It is equipped with 18.4 x 28 in. pneumatic tyres. It has a threespeed gear box with a ratio change giving 6 forward and reverse speeds.
Urea Drilled With Seed Affects Germination And Yield, M G. Mason, A. Loutit, J. A. C. Smith, D. Highman, P. Stallwood
Urea Drilled With Seed Affects Germination And Yield, M G. Mason, A. Loutit, J. A. C. Smith, D. Highman, P. Stallwood
Journal of the Department of Agriculture, Western Australia, Series 4
Trials in 1968 at Burracoppin and York again showed it is safer to topdress urea just before seeding than to drill a mixture of seed and urea.
At all but the lowest urea rates, urea drilled with the seed reduced the number of plants emerging and surviving, and reduced final wheat yields.
The Setting And Control Of Disc Ploughs, P A. Taylor
The Setting And Control Of Disc Ploughs, P A. Taylor
Journal of the Department of Agriculture, Western Australia, Series 4
THE trailed disc plough is the most commonly used tillage implement in Australian broadacre farming, yet it is considered in some areas to be difficult to set and to operate. These notes provide information resulting from C.S.I.R.O. research to assist operators in the control and operation of trailed disc ploughs.
How Many Acres Per Hour?, J G. Drever
How Many Acres Per Hour?, J G. Drever
Journal of the Department of Agriculture, Western Australia, Series 4
MANY farm tractor operators don't know exactly how much land is covered in an hour by implements drawn by their tractors. This information, useful on any farm where tractors are used, is of particular value in contract work.
The capacity of the machine or implement, or in other words, its rate of working, depends on the width of the machine, how fast it travels, how efficiently it is operated and the time it works.
A Core Sampler For Silage, A L. Hamilton
A Core Sampler For Silage, A L. Hamilton
Journal of the Department of Agriculture, Western Australia, Series 4
FOR five years now the Dairy Division of the Department of Agriculture has conducted a silage competition on behalf of the Australian Dairy Produce Board Pasture Improvement Committee.
The competition is for farmers in the Southwest dairying districts and has attracted an increasing number of entries each year.

Australian Spark Arrester Tests : Test No. Spa-21 : Caterpillar D7 Turbocharger, W F. Baillie, G. H. Vasey
Journal of the Department of Agriculture, Western Australia, Series 4
FORMAL tests on spark arresters are conducted by The Tractor Testing Committee* at the Testing Station, Werribee, on behalf of those Companies concerned with tractors, engines or spark arresters who wish to have these equipments tested.
The arrester is tested on the engine it is specially designed for (as in this instance), or if it is sold for use on any or several engines, it is tested on an engine of the highest power for which the spark arrester is intended.
Bulk Handling Of Superphosphate, H G. Cariss
Bulk Handling Of Superphosphate, H G. Cariss
Journal of the Department of Agriculture, Western Australia, Series 4
A MAJOR factor in our agricultural production is the outlay for fertilisers, including the cost of their application to the land.
Any means which can be employed to reduce these costs are therefore of extreme importance to the State's agriculture.
The bulk-handling of fertilisers could be one way of reducing these costs to the farmer.
