Monte Carlo Algorithm To Study Performance Parameters Of Shuttle Systems, Wolfgang Trummer, Dirk Jodin

Shuttle systems provide alternative solutions in storage technology. Ma-terial flow analyses of these systems are extensive due to complex interac-tion of several shuttles and lift elements. Besides classic cycle time calcu-lation, it also requires advanced analyzing methods. At the Institute of Logistics Engineering (ITL), Graz University of Technology, an innovative, software-based approach has been developed to investigate the performance of shuttle systems. This approach is based on the Monte Carlo method. The software tool takes into account a variety of different systems and operating parameters to reflect operative behavior of shuttle systems.

Although this stream of research has produced important findings, it has yet to appreciably advance our understanding of system-use behavior in healthcare. To fill this gap, the current paper employs a systematic review to synthesize past research, reveal the key determinants of healthcare system usage, and illuminate a deeper understanding of the topic. Customer expectations can be extremely nebulous. This research identifies the demographic segmentations and their respective expectations for the spa market. Interviews were conducted and a subsequent questionnaire was employed to gather the voice of the customer and assess the expectations of spa clientele. All of the data was collected from luxury spas in Hawaii, and consisted of respondents from all over the world. Results of the survey suggest that while men want more tangible benefits of a spa, women prefer the experiential qualities of peace and rejuvenation. As the Air Force unveils the KC-46 Pegasus, this mission will continue but without a position for the navigator. Instead, navigators will undergo divestment as the SOAR mission transfers to the KC-46.
