Dynamic Channel Allocation Technique For Distributed Multi-Radio Multichannel Multi-Path Routing Protocol In Wireless Mesh Networks, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Shreenidhi. P.L, Ranganath H R, Puttamadappa C, Basavaraju T G

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) have gained main attraction in providing flexible network services and support to the end users. There are many efforts seen to design robust routing protocol for WMNs and solutions are proposed to standardized channel allocation techniques. There are various approaches dedicated to maximize the network though put and minimize network interface. Existing multi radio multi channel routing protocols utilize only single channel situation and static channel allocation degrades the performance of the WMNs. The challenge is to allocate channel without link interference and to improve end-to-end throughput efficiency in multipath routing for WMNs. In this paper, …

Some Embedded systems involve multiple processors connected by a communication medium. These processors communicate with each other exchanging short messages using some message based communication protocols such as Controller Area Network (CAN), SAE J1939 etc. With the induction of new features inside such networks, the number of messages will increase. The increase of messages may affect the network performance for a given network characteristics. Performance evaluation of a message based networks is therefore desired with increasing message load. This paper presents the performance evaluation of message based embedded communication networks. Several parameters have been estimated as function of number of …

Artificial Bee Colony-Based Design Of Optimal On-Line Self-Tuning Pidcontroller Fed Ac Drives, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Essamudin A. Ebrahim Dec 2014

Artificial Bee Colony-Based Design Of Optimal On-Line Self-Tuning Pidcontroller Fed Ac Drives, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Essamudin A. Ebrahim

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

In this paper, an optimization method based on the foraging behavior of a colony of honey bees in nature was proposed. An optimized model for Proportional Integral Derivative (PID)- speed controller of 3-phase IM drives was introduced to adapt the constant gains of this classical controller. To enhance robustness of this controller, an online algorithm for self-tuning of PID controller-parameters was proposed. Experimental work was introduced using DSP and test results were obtained for several speed trajectories of 2-degree of freedom IM drive and compared with conventional PID controllers.

A Fast-Converging Mppt Technique For Photovoltaic System Under Fast Varying Solar Irradiation And Load Resistance, Saad Mekhilef Nov 2014

A Fast-Converging Mppt Technique For Photovoltaic System Under Fast Varying Solar Irradiation And Load Resistance, Saad Mekhilef

Saad Mekhilef

Under fast varying solar irradiation and load resistance, a fast-converging maximum power point tracking system is required to ensure the photovoltaic system response rapidly with minimum power losses. Traditionally, maximum power point locus was used to provide such a fast response. However, the algorithm requires extra control loop or intermittent disconnection of the PV module. Hence, this paper proposes a simpler fast-converging maximum power point tracking technique, which excludes the extra control loop and intermittent disconnection. In the proposed algorithm, the relationship between the load line and the I–V curve is used with trigonometry rule to obtain the fast response. …

Method Of Fabricating A Polarized Color Filter, Fang-Tzu Chuang Aug 2014

Method Of Fabricating A Polarized Color Filter, Fang-Tzu Chuang

Fang-Tzu Chuang

A method of fabricating a polarized color filter wherein a transparent substrate is provided and coated with a photoresist layer. A wave-shaped mask may then be prepared and a periodic wave-shaped surface may be placed in contact with the photoresist layer, treating the photoresist layer with a primary exposure process. An external force may be applied to the wave-shaped mask, and the transparent substrate or wave-shaped mask by be rotated by a predetermined degree. The photoresist layer may be treated with a secondary exposure process, wherein the photoresist layer is developed in order to obtain a photoresist pattern layer. A …

Novel Configuration For Multilevel Dc-Link Three-Phase Five-Level Inverter, Saad Mekhilef Jun 2014

Novel Configuration For Multilevel Dc-Link Three-Phase Five-Level Inverter, Saad Mekhilef

Saad Mekhilef

new multilevel DC-link three-phase five-level voltage source inverter topology is introduced here. A multilevel DClink formed from single DC voltage supply and two cascaded half-bridge (CHB) power cells is connected to 12-switch threephase bridge in such a way that the proposed inverter produces five levels in the output voltage waveform. Compared to comparable inverters, such as symmetrical CHB and hybrid multilevel inverters, the proposed topology maximises the number of voltage levels and reduces the number of utilised DC voltage supplies, switches, gate driver circuits and installation area. A modified fundamental frequency modulation technique based on determination of switching states of …

Correlation Between Energy Distribution Profile And Lev El Of Consciousness, D. K. Chaturvedi Dr. Jan 2014

Correlation Between Energy Distribution Profile And Lev El Of Consciousness, D. K. Chaturvedi Dr.

D. K. Chaturvedi Dr.

The purpose of this experimental study was to determine the energy levels corresponding to the different focal points (Chakras or centers) of the body, which is related with consciousness. In this experiment, the energy level is measured at four different centers, namely, the navel center, the heart center, the throat center and the eye center of the Human beings. The measurements have been taken using Energy Measurement System (EMS) developed at Department of Electrical Engineering, Dayalbagh Education Institute, Dayalbagh, Agra, India, which works on the principle of tissue resistance of body. The probe was placed at different centers and subsequent …

Modified Incremental Conductance Algorithm For Photovoltaic System Under Partial Shading Conditions And Load Variation, Saad Mekhilef Jan 2014

Modified Incremental Conductance Algorithm For Photovoltaic System Under Partial Shading Conditions And Load Variation, Saad Mekhilef

Saad Mekhilef

Under partial shading conditions, multiple peaks are observed in the power–voltage (P–V ) characteristic curve of a photovoltaic (PV) array, and the conventional maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms may fail to track the global maximum power point (GMPP). Therefore, this paper proposes a modified incremental conductance (Inc Cond) algorithm that is able to track the GMPP under partial shading conditions and load variation. A novel algorithm is introduced to modulate the duty cycle of the dc–dc converter in order to ensure fast MPPT process. Simulation and hardware implementation are carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm …

Long-Term Wind Speed Forecasting And General Pattern Recognition Using Neural Networks, Saad Mekhilef Jan 2014

Long-Term Wind Speed Forecasting And General Pattern Recognition Using Neural Networks, Saad Mekhilef

Saad Mekhilef

Long-term forecasting of wind speed has become a research hot spot in many different areas such as restructured electricity markets, energy management, and wind farm optimal design. However, wind energy with unstable and intermittent characteristics entails establishing accurate predicted data to avoid inefficient and less reliable results. The proposed study in this paper may provide a solution regarding the long-term wind speed forecast in order to solve the earlier-mentioned problems. For this purpose, two fundamentally different approaches, the statistical and the neural network-based approaches, have been developed to predict hourly wind speed data of the subsequent year. The novelty of …
