Indonesia is the third-largest coffee producer globally, facing challenges including rising raw material costs, increased energy consumption, and unpredictable weather conditions. One potential solution is optimizing energy efficiency during roasting. This study investigates the effect of preheating on time and energy efficiency in heat and mass transfer by utilizing waste heat to preheat green Robusta coffee beans. The experiment was conducted on a laboratory scale using a rotating drum roaster with a double-layer drum made of stainless steel and clay, at 200 °C under atmospheric pressure. The heavy reliance on fossil fuels has serious consequences, particularly regarding increased greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global warming. In order to obtain cleaner fuel resources and reduce fossil fuel dependence, palm oil biodiesel is added to fossil diesel by volume ratio resulting in B50 and B55 blends. Combustion characteristics, performance, fuel consumption, and emissions were performed in a diesel engine with a 4-cylinder common rail direct injection (CRDI) at different engine speeds (1500, 2000, 2500, and 3000 rpm). Chutes are critical materials handling assets to transport solid particles from one process step to another in mineral processing, coal mining and cement industries. The material transport, because of material characteristics, cause severe wear on internal lining of chutes or bins’ structure. Aging chemical reactors in the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin industry require comprehensive evaluation to ensure safe continued operation. This study conducts a remaining life assessment (RLA) and fitness-for-service (FFS) evaluation on five 30-year-old reactors, based on API 510, API 579/ASME FFS-1, and ASME BPVC Section VIII Div. 1 standards. The analysis involves corrosion rate measurement, future corrosion allowance (FCA) projection, and minimum thickness verification. Among the reactors, R-120 was found to have the shortest remaining life less than 15 years. This study examined how surface roughness and nanoceramic coating, influences the boiling heat transfer coefficient (BHTC) and critical heat flux (CHF) of a conical cylindrical copper test specimen. Three test specimens exhibiting surface roughness of 0.22 µm, 0.14 µm, and 0.04 µm were analyzed for comparison. Two additional test specimens were treated with nanoceramic coatings utilizing silicon carbide as the base material: one specimen received a single-layer coating and the second was applied with a double-layer coating. The high prevalence of physical disabilities in Indonesia, particularly among the productive-age population, highlights the urgent need for advancements in prosthetic technology. While local fabricators have begun producing prosthetic feet, the lack of standardized testing procedures compromises safety and performance. This study addresses that gap by developing an adjustable static testing device tailored for below-knee prosthetic feet, focusing on keel and heel tests to evaluate mechanical performance. Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) silicone cures at room conditions, providing tear resistance and flexibility to a wide range of industries. Yet, its mechanical performance improvement continues to be difficult when it is filled and catalyzed. In this work, the tear resistance of three RTV materials—RTV 48, RTV 683, and RTV M4503—is investigated with different talc (2–4 wt.%) and catalyst (40–60 wt.%) formulations. This study evaluates the drying performance and energy efficiency of a solar-powered rice cabinet dryer equipped with two distinct airflow mechanisms: free convection (chimney-assisted) and forced convection (fan-assisted). Field experiments were conducted under tropical conditions in Merauke, Indonesia, comparing drying efficiency, moisture reduction, and air mass flow across three rice grain loads: 1 kg, 3 kg, and 5 kg. Separators in supercapacitors have an important role as intermediaries for ions that pass during the chargedischarge process and affect the performance of supercapacitors. Therefore, a comprehensive study is needed related to separator characteristics, including morphology, pore size, diameter, functional group, and electrochemical performance of separator membranes from PAN/PVDF composites. The performance of activated carbon (AC)-based supercapacitor electrodes is often limited by poor electrical conductivity, prompting interest in conductive additives such as carbon black (CB). This study explores the transformative potential of CB as a conductive additive in AC-based supercapacitor electrodes and systematically investigates CB mass loadings of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%, using styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) as the binder. The aim of this study is to analyze the implementation of carbon capture and storage (CCS) in coal-fired power plants (CFPP) in Indonesia by determining the reboiler energy demand through steam source analysis. The study uses a representative 3×330 MW subcritical coal-fired power plant (CFPP), with an emission intensity of 1.02 tCO₂/MWh and flue gas CO₂ concentration of 13.8%. CCS modeling shows the reboiler requires about 2.9×10⁹ kJ/h energy, supplied by steam extracted from the plant’s steam cycle. This USV ship is a catamaran-type ship with a Sonar Deeper depth sensor to know the depth of the water and is equipped with long range (LoRa) as a data transmitter. Sustainable composites are vital for impact-critical aerospace, automotive, and defense applications. This study used Multiple Input–Single Output (MISO) experimental approach to assess how hybrid ratio, mass fraction, and fiber orientation influence the low-velocity impact behavior of Gongronema/S-glass epoxy composites. Gongronema fibers and S-glass were combined with ER-F292 epoxy and molded into ASTMstandard samples. Charpy impact tests measured energy absorption. A 60-run design evaluated input variable combinations, and Multiple Linear Regression identified significant predictors using p-values and confidence intervals. The study employs Response Surface Methodology in conjunction with a Central Composite Design to identify the optimal parameter combination. This study analyzes the effect of warhead shape and material variations on pressure, temperature, and lift on training missiles using CAD-based simulation methods. The variations of warhead shapes tested include flat, flat radius, and tapered, while the materials used are rubber, ABS, and PE. The simulation results show that the tapered warhead shape with PE material produces the lowest pressure (50.3 MPa) due to more efficient pressure release and low friction properties.
