Integrated Rules Classifier For Predicting Pathogenic Non-Synonymous Single Nucleotide Variants In Human, Ahmed Barakat Hosseny, Marwa Said Hassan, A A. Shalan, Shymaa Khamis, M I. Dessouky

Basic Science Engineering

The most prevalent kind of genetic variants in humans are non-synonymous single nucleotide variants (nsSNVs). Several prediction tools have been launched to forecast the effect of amino acid substitutes on human protein function. These tools sort variants as pathogenic or neutral. We developed an Integrated Rules Classifier (Integration Score through JRip “ISTJRip”), which integrates the four individual tools that are publicly available; iFish, Mutation Assessor, FATHMM, and SIFT-based on the JRip machine learning technique. Additionally, we compared the ISTJRip approach with the other three created integration classifiers; Integration Score through J48 “ISTJ48”, Integration Score through RF “ISTRF”, and Integration …

One Formula For Non-Prime Numbers: Motivations And Characteristics, Kamal Hassan Prof., Mahmoud Mansour

Basic Science Engineering

Abstract: Primes are essential for computer encryption and cryptography, as they are fundamental units of whole numbers and are of the highest importance due to their mathematical qualities. However, identifying a pattern of primes is not easy. Thinking in a different way may get benefits, by considering the opposite side of the problem which means focusing on non-prime numbers. Recently, researchers introduced, the pattern of non-primes in two maximal sets while in this paper, non-primes are presented in one formula. Getting one-way formula for non-primes may pave the way for further applications based on the idea of primes.

Utilizing Machine Learning Algorithm In Predicting The Power Conversion Efficiency Limit Of A Monolithically Perovskites/Silicon Tandem Structure, Moustafa Ganoub, Omar Elsaban, Sameh O. Abdellatif Dr, Khaled Kirah, Hani Ghali

Electrical Engineering

Tandem structures have been introduced to the photovoltaics (PV) market to boost power conversion efficiency (PCE). Single-junction cells’ PCE, either in a homojunction or heterojunction format, are clipped to a theoretical limit associated with the absorbing material bandgap. Scaling up the single-junction cells to a multi-junction tandem structure penetrates such limits. One of the promising tandem structures is the perovskite over silicon topology. Si junction is utilized as a counter bare cell with perovskites layer above, under applying the bandgap engineering aspects. Herein, we adopt BaTiO3/CsPbCl3/MAPbBr3/CH3NH3PbI3/c-Si tandem structure to be investigated. In tandem PVs, various input parameters can be tuned …

A Stochastic Spectrum Trading And Resource Allocation Framework For Opportunistic Dynamic Spectrum Access Networks, Mohamed Abdelraheem, Mohammad Mahmoud Abdellatif Jul 2022

A Stochastic Spectrum Trading And Resource Allocation Framework For Opportunistic Dynamic Spectrum Access Networks, Mohamed Abdelraheem, Mohammad Mahmoud Abdellatif

Electrical Engineering

In this article, the spectrum trading problem between primary users and secondary networks is investigated. The secondary network requests multiple channels with the targeted availability to satisfy its users’ demands. Due to the uncertainty about the channels availability, stochastic optimization techniques are adopted to find the optimal set of channels for each secondary network for the lowest cost. Two different constraints on the secondary demand are defined. The first one is when the throughput has to be fully satisfied for a certain percentage of time, and the second one is when the expected value of the throughput has to exceed …

This study aims to mitigate the CO poisoning of platinum (Pt) surfaces during formic acid electro-oxidation (FAEO), the essential anodic reaction in the direct formic acid fuel cells (DFAFCs). For this purpose, a glassy carbon (GC) electrode was amended sequentially with Pt (n-Pt), gold (n-Au), and cobalt oxide (n-CoOx) nanostructures. Fascinatingly, the ternary modified n-CoOx/n-Au/n-Pt/GC catalyst (for which n-Pt, n-Au, and n-CoOx were sequentially and respectively assembled onto the GC surface) exhibited a remarkable electrocatalytic enhancement toward FAEO, which surpassed ca. 53 times that of the Pt/GC catalyst. Additionally, it exhibited a much (ca. 18 times) higher stability after 3000 …

Sanitary Ware Waste As A Source For A Valuable Biodiesel Catalyst, Mai H. Roushdy May 2022

Sanitary Ware Waste As A Source For A Valuable Biodiesel Catalyst, Mai H. Roushdy

Chemical Engineering

Biofuel is a type of fuel that is made from biomass using modern techniques rather than the relatively slow geological processes that lead to the development of fossil fuels. In Europe, biodiesel is the most widely used biofuel. The sanitary ware industry generates a lot of hazardous waste, such as waste gypsum molds. These molds are broken, pulverized, and reacted with NaCO3 to make CaCO3, which is then heated to produce CaO. The resulting CaO catalyzes the reaction between waste frying oil and methanol for biodiesel synthesis. To evaluate the effect of reaction parameters on the production of biodiesel, the …

Analyzing Resource Allocation And Levelling In Construction Projects, Mohamed Eizeldin, Mohamed Hussein Hegazy, Ahmed Alhady, Shahir Ashraf

Civil Engineering

Project scheduling has been crucial in any construction project since applying poor scheduling may lead to cost overruns and delays. The most commonly used technique for scheduling is the critical path method (CPM). As CPM neglects the availability of resources and assumes only time as a constrain; therefore, the resource allocation problem (RAP) technique is introduced. RAP appears when the number of resources required exceeds the number of resources available. Moreover, as a result of solving the RAP, another problem will occur known as the resource leveling problem (RLP). RLP lead to lots of hiring and firing of laborers. Researchers …

A Competent Mwcnt-Grafted Mnox/Pt Nanoanode For The Direct Formic Acid Fuel Cells, Islam M. Al-Akraa, Mamdouh M. Moutaz, Ahmad M. Mohammad, Yaser M. Asal

Chemical Engineering

A novel “MnOx/Pt/MWCNT-GC” nanocatalyst is recommended for the electrooxidation of formic acid (EOFA), the principal anodic reaction in the direct formic acid fuel cells (DFAFCs). The sequential (layer-by-layer) protocol was employed to prepare the catalyst through the electrodeposition of Pt (nano-Pt) and manganese oxide (nano-MnOx) nanoparticles onto the surface of a glassy carbon (GC) electrode supported with multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). The nano-MnOx could successfully mediate the mechanism of EOFA by accelerating the charge transfer, “electronic effect”. On the other hand, MWCNTs could enhance the catalytic performance by changing the surface geometry that inhibited the adsorption of poisoning CO, which …

Chemical Engineering

A propitious binary catalyst composed of Pt and Cu which were electrodeposited simultaneously onto a glassy carbon (GC) substrate was recommended for the formic acid (FA) electro-oxidation reaction (FAOR); the principal anodic reaction in the direct FA fuel cells (DFAFCs). The simultaneous co-electrodeposition of Pt and Cu in the catalyst provided an opportunity to tune the geometric functionality of the catalyst to resist the adsorption of poisoning CO at the Pt surface that represented the major impediment for DFAFCs marketing. The catalytic activity of the catalyst toward FAOR was significantly influenced by the (Pt4+/Cu2+) molar ratio of the electrolyte during …
