Transferts De Chaleur Dans Un Réacteur Thermochimique Solaire Muni D’Un Récepteur Volumique Poreux, Hernando Romero Paredes Rubio

Hernando Romero Paredes Rubio

A New Method For Determining Voltage Sag Source Locations By Using Multivariable Regression Coefficients, Asadollah Kazemi, Azah Mohamed, Hussain Shareef

Dr. ASADOLLAH KAZEMI

This paper presents a new method for locating voltage sag sources in power distribution networks. The proposed method estimates the voltages at the unmonitored buses by using the regression coefficients. First some bus voltages are monitored using power quality recorders in the power distribution system. Then, the voltage deviation index and the standard deviation index, represent the deviation of bus voltages before and after a disturbance are utilized to determine the voltage sag source location. To validate the proposed method, the IEEE 9 bus test system is used. The test results showed that the proposed method is accurate in determining …

Control Of A Bidirectional Z-Source Inverter Forelectric Vehicle Applications In Different Operation Modes, Omar Ellabban, Joeri Van Mierlo, Philippe Lataire

Omar Ellabban

This paper proposes two control strategies for the bidirectional Z-source inverters (BZSI) supplied by batteries for electric vehicle applications. The first control strategy utilizes the indirect field-oriented control (IFOC) method to control the induction motor speed. The proposed speed control strategy is able to control the motor speed from zero to the rated speed with the rated load torque in both motoring and regenerative braking modes. The IFOC is based on PWM voltage modulation with voltage decoupling compensation to insert the shoot-through state into the switching signals using the simple boost shoot-through control method. The parameters of the four PI …

Hossein Ameri Mahabadi

This paper presents a microstrip diplexer using two Double-Stub Band-Pass Filters (DS-BPFs), composed of several double-stubs connected to a main microstrip line. Each DS-BPF has a null at the center frequency of the other. Therefore, these types of filters are suitable for diplexers with two near frequencies. A diplexer at frequencies 5.875 and 6.225 GHz is designed, fabricated and measured. Measured results of the fabricated diplexer have a good agreement with the calculated results.

Omar Ellabban

The Z-source inverter is a recently proposed single stage converter topology with buck-boost capabilities. This paper proposes a dual-loop capacitor voltage control, with outer voltage loop and inner current loop, of the Z-source inverter (ZSI). Both controller are designed based on a third order small signal model of the ZSI using the direct digital design method. Real-time control algorithm is implemented using DSP linked with MATLAB real time workshop (RTW) as rapid prototyping tool. The feasibility of the proposed dual loop control method has been verified by the simulation and experimental results.

Switch-Less Dual-Frequency Reconfigurable Cmos Oscillator Using One Single Piezoelectric Aln Mems Resonator With Co-Existing S0 And S1 Lamb-Wave Modes, Chengjie Zuo, Jan Van Der Spiegel, Gianluca Piazza

Chengjie Zuo

For the first time, this work demonstrates a switch-less dual-frequency (472-MHz and 1.94-GHz) reconfigurable CMOS oscillator using a single piezoelectric AlN MEMS resonator with co-existing S0 and S1 Lamb-wave modes of vibration. High performances (high Q and kt2 for a resonator and low phase noise for an oscillator) have been achieved for both the resonator and oscillator in terms of dual-mode operation. Especially, the 1.94-GHz operation has the best phase noise performance when compared with all previously reported CMOS oscillators that work at a similar frequency.

Improve Design For Automated Tajweed Checking Rules Engine Of Quranic Verse Recitation: A Review, Noor Jamaliah Ibrahim, Zulkifli Mohd Yusoff, Zaidi Razak, Rosli Salleh

Noor Jamaliah Ibrahim

Generally, reliable speech recognition is a hard problem that required a combination of many techniques. Thus, the combinations of Al-Quran with speech recognition system is quite challenging task to be implemented. It is because the Quran sound, which had been recited by most of recitors will probably tend to differ a lot from one person to another. Although those Quranic sentence were particularly taken from the same verse, but the way of the sentence in Al-Quran been recited or delivered may be different, depend on recitors with the different levels of understanding of Tajweed rules. This paper seeks to provide …

Adaptive Discrete-Time Controller Design With Neural Network For Hypersonic Flight Vehicle Via Back-Stepping, Bin Xu Jan 2011

Adaptive Discrete-Time Controller Design With Neural Network For Hypersonic Flight Vehicle Via Back-Stepping, Bin Xu

Bin Xu

In this article, the adaptive neural controller in discrete time is investigated for the longitudinal dynamics of a generic hypersonic flight vehicle. The dynamics are decomposed into the altitude subsystem and the velocity subsystem. The altitude subsystem is transformed into the strict-feedback form from which the discrete-time model is derived by the first-order Taylor expansion. The virtual control is designed with nominal feedback and neural network (NN) approximation via back-stepping. Meanwhile, one adaptive NN controller is designed for the velocity subsystem. To avoid the circular construction problem in the practical control, the design of coefficients adopts the upper bound instead …

Adaptive Neural Control Based On Hgo For Hypersonic Flight Vehicles, Bin Xu

Bin Xu

This paper describes the design of adaptive neural controller for the longitudinal dynamics of a generic hypersonic flight vehicle (HFV) which are decomposed into two functional systems, namely the altitude subsystem and the velocity subsystem. For each subsystem, one adaptive neural controller is investigated based on the normal output-feedback formulation. For the altitude subsystem, the high gain observer (HGO) is taken to estimate the unknown newly defined states. Only one neural network (NN) is employed to approximate the lumped uncertain system nonlinearity during the controller design which is considerably simpler than the ones based on back-stepping scheme with the strict-feedback …

Task Allocation For Multi-Spacecraft Cooperation Based On Estimation Of Distribution Algorithm, Bin Xu

Bin Xu

One two-stage task allocation strategy is proposed for multi-spacecraft cooperation during the long-range orbit transfer with two impulses. This paper focuses on the task value maximum and cost minimum optimization by assigning spacecraft to different task. At the first stage time and energy cost are considered based on the spacecraft dynamics. The optimization result is together with the target value as the factor for the task allocation model at the second stage. The optimization is processed separately in continuous and discrete time domain with estimation of distribution algorithm (EDA). Different task allocation mode is formulated and the strategy is verified …

Composite Control Based On Optimal Torque Control And Adaptive Kriging Control For The Crab Rover, Bin Xu Jan 2011

Composite Control Based On Optimal Torque Control And Adaptive Kriging Control For The Crab Rover, Bin Xu

Bin Xu

Terrainability is mostly dependant on the suspension mechanism and the control of a space rover. For the six wheeled CRAB rover, this paper presents the composite control design with torque control and adaptive Kriging control to improve the terrainability, somewhat related to minimizing heel slip. As CRAB is moving slowly, the torque control is processed by minimizing the variance of the required friction coefficient based on the static model. Adaptive Kriging control is used to track the commanded velocity. The system uncertainty is compensated by Kriging estimation based on the velocity dynamics. Experiment results with two different tires show the …

Adaptive Hypersonic Flight Control Via Back-Stepping And Kriging Estimation, Bin Xu Jan 2011

Adaptive Hypersonic Flight Control Via Back-Stepping And Kriging Estimation, Bin Xu

Bin Xu

This paper investigates the adaptive Kriging controller for the longitudinal dynamics of a generic hypersonic flight vehicle (HFV). For the altitude subsystem, the dynamics are transformed into the strict-feedback form where the backstepping scheme is employed. Considering the nonlinearity of the dynamics, the nominal feedback is included in the controller while Kriging system is designed to estimate the uncertainty. With the proposed controller, the almost surely bounded stability is guaranteed. The simulation study is presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed control approach.
